why?

cuz you dont think anybody has heard it yet?  [we have]

cuz you think we are going to start a crusade to force psychopathic to make you a don, so you can set things ‘right’?  [we wont]

cuz you believe it makes even the slightest difference in the music that will come out in the future?  [yeah, you know]

of course its YOUR opinion…  but according to the top of the page [and about sixty other posts], YOUR opinion is that MY opinion has to be the same as YOUR opinion.

which, by the way, it isnt.

It’s the same arguement because it’s the truth. If you can say anything from the new deck even comes close quality wise to there older shit, you’re on some type of drugs…

I will forever argue with people on here about this subject till I turn blue in the face but this is MY opinion. And whoever doesn’t agree with it, that’s your opinion.

Mighty Death Pop remains one of my favorite of their albums. I would rather listen to that then Jeckel Brother’s on most occasions. And I’m really not into drugs, that’s just my preference.

Sorry, but your opinion does not equate to the truth. Your version of it, maybe.

For me they never Fell off, there is something dope on every Album so far and i can even nitpick the in my opinion oldschool sounding gems out of there. But I don’t have to cuz I like the New directions too!

And i think twiztid is in the Moment ti focused on Merch and all this Drama around them had me turned down a little bit, i think I have to give the darkness a new shot but i remember there were a few good Songs like Boogie man and a little fucked up.

Edit: auto correct

I don’t know if “fell off” is the terminology I would use. But I will say that I took a pretty long hiatus after Hell’s Pit and didn’t really get back into ICP until maybe a few years back, so I’d say I took almost a decade long hiatus. I very much enjoyed Hell’s Pit, but I also started having a lot of bullshit happen in my life as soon as that came out and I weirdly associated all that stuff with Hell’s Pit and kind of moved away from it and ICP altogether. But I also attribute that to the fact that I was no longer a teenager and had been exposed to a lot of different kinds of music and sort of “grew out” of ICP altogether. Then I remember The Calm came out and I eventually checked it out, but I didn’t really like it which was really a first for me to not be all over some new ICP.

Eventually I got back into revisiting some of my favorites and checked out all the music I didn’t really pay attention to when it came out. I’m back into really enjoying ICP, but, I don’t obsess over their new shit like I used to. I legitimately would enjoy listening to all or nearly all of the first set of Joker Cards and EPs, but nowadays I definitely have some skippers on everything post-Hell’s Pit. But I respect the shit out of ICP and the fact that they are always trying out new sounds, exploring new concepts, etc. and they still turn out a lot of great shit. So I think this whole post is a long way of saying they never really “fell off” but I have changed, they have changed, and sometimes it matches up and sometimes not as much. Glad to be back in the saddle though!

I’ll take Mighty Death Pop over Amazing Jeckel Brothers most of the time, as well.

The classics of AJB like Mad Professor and Assassins are not to be fucked with. But the same goes for MDP. Night of the Chainsaw, Forever, Bazooka Joey, etc.. I love that album. There is some filler. And I do use drugs, but this is me talking sober on my lunch break from selling drugs. So I’m legit.

I didn’t love Bang Pow Boom, unfortunately. Nothing was a good as In Yo Face, after that track.

Found is mostly classic to me, too. I dig the happy-friendly shit when it’s done well.

Lot was bleh, but damn I love Apocalypse and Flamethrower. Gotta give that album another listen.

No matter whut the topic of the threads is, people are gonna point someone out when they dont present themself properly

Only way to avoid it would have to be by havin a mod approve all posts before they are public. And if they werent relevant to thread they get moved to a mega bullshit and crybaby thread

Atleast they were still being semi relevant to thread and not completely derailed it. A fuck this thread post is just counterproductive and rude.

Glad to here that most understand that icp never technically went downhill, its just normal to go on hiatus from their music, not always completely, just not excited for whuts next.

Digging through crates of music doesn’t have much to do with it. Listen to AJB most of that album was heavier type of guitars. Riddlebox also had strings and pianos in it. I already get that most of FLH is die hard juggalos which I am cool with, but none of this new stuff comes anywhere close to anything old. And that’s not even saying jokers cards, even the ep’s were the shit. At this point in time, it’s more less the beats I just don’t like. Drums also have a HUGE roll in this. MEC’s drums were always super fucking dope. I havent’ liked very many drums from MEC since he’s come back.

I will forever argue with people on here about this subject till I turn blue in the face but this is MY opinion. And whoever doesn’t agree with it, that’s your opinion.

I agree with you and I assumed it had to do with sample clearances and money. It sounds like a lot of the 90’s stuf used drum breaks and loops, which sound a lot more soulful and full than programmed 808s and snares imo. The atmosphere they got out of what they used between say Terror Wheel and Milenko is not to be fucked with. Might be the sounds, the equipment, the mixing or a combo of all of it…

Probably, the drums used now just kill it for me. Like I said the songs I posted the drums were dope and went right with it. I’ve always enjoyed icp not using 808’s, 808’s just kill my vibe with there shit. Killjoy was a prime example. I don’t know why everyone was so bent on that album, I thought the beats sucked. I was hoping karma forest would be a WOTH style cd beat wise. Even mike p’s shit sounds kinda meh anymore.

Personally I would LOVE to head ICP rap over more dope Seven beats. Phantom is great to me for that. One of my favorite instrumentals on an ICP song. More like what Seven did with BLH too. Lots of ominous strings and whatnot.

if seven brought in strings, pianos, and guitars only on his songs and used normal kicks I would be down for seven producing. Some fo the songs he produced on found were fucking dope. I think the title track “found” literally sounded like a continuation of shangrila for me, that song was so dope.

I have been bumping ICP since Jeckel bros when I first heard them.  The only time I feel their music hit a lull was during the calm/tempest era.  I am recently getting back into BPB and all of their music.  I loved Found and MDP.  I also dug the hell out of the Phantom ep.  I just got a new copy of Forgotten Freshness 3 (which I used to own) and the flood of dark carnival magic has come rushing back over me!  There is something so dope about the music and I am pumped to see where they go next on the next jokers card!
