So here’s what’s up. I am NOT coming to the Gathering this year due to a scheduling conflict with my other work.
There’s no beef with anybody at Pychopathic, and I really wish I could make it because I am sure it will be a great Gathering that I will be very sorry to miss.

Classy homie. Wouldn’t expect you to go out J10 style. You were a big part of my awesome Gathering experience in 2011 man, sorry to hear that ninjas won’t have you entertaining their asses this time around.

I’m glad there’s no beef. I like Upchuck and consider him a true Juggalo. Despite all the hate some people have for him, he kept coming back. Hopefully he’ll be back next year.
If Juggalos are considered the most hated group on the planet and Upchuck is one of the most hated Juggalos even by other Juggalos, that makes him one of the truest Juggalos there is.
Never understood the problem some had with him.

Upchuck was the shit, hands down. Dude got shitted on constantly for no reason, you have to have a sense of humor to put up with what he did. You could always tell he was fed up towards the end, but he was a cool guy who just never got any respect for whatever reason. He was the Rodney Dangerfield of juggalos.
And how bad did last years Gathering bomb? I couldn’t go last year and broke my 11 year streak, which sucked, but given to the main stage lineup, well, lets just say that softened the blow. So I’m not sure how bad it bombed. Anyone who could elaborate, thank you.

According to Jumpsteady it bombed so hard they still are paying off the debt. Basically he was admitting the Hatchet is broke. He said they had to fire almost all of the staff at Psychopathic because of the disaster, they could not afford to keep paying people. If you watch some of the videos on Youtube of the Main Stage performances from last year, the field is mad empty and the crowd is way smaller compared to previous years.

That definitely sucks man. But, when you choose to have all underground acts, maybe not all that surprising. The lineup from last for the main stage would have made a great freakshow stage lineup, but still, the Gathering is the shit for so many other reasons that I have to wonder why it bombed so bad. Hope it all turns out better for them next year.

Jump also thought that Twiztid leaving the label earlier in the year was such a huge downer, that maybe a lot of Juggalos felt there wasn’t much to come out and celebrate last summer. End of the “Family” era and whatnot.

You nailed it Pat with the Dangerfield reference. Upchuck dropped from the Gathering like a motherfuckin bad habit. Basically PSY is like don’t let the door hit your clowny ass on the way out. Maybe Upchuck should write that tell all book that Bobcat Goldthwait and Robin Williams said he should write. I think their working title was “It Doesn’t Stain” referring to Upchuck getting nailed with Faygo all the time.
