Their shipping costs are literally the reason that I never buy anything from hatchetgear online, I either pick it up at a show/gathering or I don’t get it because I can’t justify paying that much for shipping in this day and age
(Only exception would be if they had a gathering shirt from last year…which I would be happy to buy any size any price if anyone is interested :) )

Man, I think I want this. You think the replay value is going to be high? Or do you think it is going to be one of those card games that gets stale after a few games?
Not sure, really. I’ve never played a ‘deck building’ board game or whatever this is, so I’m entirely sure what to expect. What really piqued my interest was that sweet Tom Wood art, but that’s not to say I’m not interested in actually playing it. I totally would… if I buy it… and also if I can find someone to play it with.

They can be fun if done right. Problem is with pre-made deckbuilding games they usually don’t have the replay value games like Magic the gathering, Pokémon, Yugioh, World of Warcraft tcg have.
There are usually only so many scenarios and after a few months halfway through the game you already know who is going to win in most pre boxed deckbuilding games.

I’ll post this here: anyone willing to pick me up a copy at and I’ll just pay you to ship it? I want the extra cards, but don’t want to pay $20 per card for them with shipping.
I would also be cool with the arrangement if it becomes a possibility. If not, well, I guess Hatchet Gear’s shipping isn’t much more than the cost of flat rate, though I think I’d probably end up buying it later rather than sooner in that case.

I’m pretty interested in this game, I’ll pick one up. More so I hope they actually come through on reprinting copies of Morton’s List & *fingers crossed* Quest for Shangri-la. This new game looks dope but I’d like more info on play, at least a session on youtube before I order it. Morton’s List CAN be alot of fun, or stale af…roll the boulder! Unfortunately I’ve never got to try Quest for Shangri-la, anyone played it? Phat or wack? My D&D group of thugs & I just played the Pendulum’s Promise for the first time a few weeks ago & it was EPIC fr! Wish they really would have a Dark Canival con, I wouldn’t miss it!

I’m hanging to play this game! I pre-ordered it so hopefully it arrives soon.
Seeing as you ninjas are talking about shipping, I had to pay over $70 on the shipping alone from Hatchetgear to get it to Australia.
With currency conversion in total I paid $158 Australian for this card game so I hope I like it! HA HA I’m sure I will…

I’m a couple games into it now and I think I have it figured out lol. Shit’s a little more involved than Quest for Shangri-La. Probably shouldn’t try to turn it into a drinking game.
Can’t really compare it to any other deckbuilding games because I’ve only played Magic once and had to have someone hold my hand and walk me thru it the whole time but as far as replay value goes, I can see playing it over and over. The strategy aspect means there’s a million angles to play it from.
The design is so fucking good! Tom Wood really is the shit and it’s beautifully transparent how nerdy and into games Jumpsteady is. Dude will NOT slap a hatcheman on a game and call it a day.

I don’t know. Juggalos Against Humanity sounds like it might amount to about that, but I’m actually pretty hyped for it. Always wanted to try Cards Against Humanity, and now I’m ever so slightly more inclined to.

I have a different beef with Juggalos Against Humanity because @verytwiztidraven invented it years ago apparently. Her Hatchets to Hatchets is identical at least in principle to it.

Well then props to her for beating Jumpsteady to the punch. Least I’m gonna assume it’s Jumpsteady’s doing. Maybe I’m giving him credit for something someone else stole from VeryTwiztidRaven, who borrowed from an existing game, which might have derived from something before that.
Yeah to be fair she didn’t invent it as much as she converted Cards Against Humanity to a Juggalo game. Others may have done it before her but as far as I know shes the first to do that. Id be really happy and will attempt to get her at least a shout out for inspiring it.
