Anybody else feel like Shaggy gets held back??? I feel like his lyrics have gotten better over time and his flow compared to J is undisputal. This HAS TO BE the least Shaggy on any ICP album to date
It might just be his nature. In most (maybe all) of the ICP interviews I’ve seen J does most of the talking.

Definitely disappointed with Shaggy being so sparse. Hoping he’s more prevalent on Flip, but not gonna hold my breath. Album seems a little front loaded, but I’ve only been through it once, didn’t really dislike all that much, don’t think it’s gonna dethrone Death Pop as my favorite card from this deck, either.

but this is my favorite joker’s card from the second deck so far
the only tracks I do not like is WTF and Fury the two singles they released
I think it may be a BIT too early to call it, but I’m thinking this may be their best Joker Card from the second deck as well.
And funny you mention WTF and Fury like that. I have now had a chance to listen through the whole album 5-6 times or so and I think it’s clear to me that those 2 songs are the least interesting to me. I never listened to either of them very much either, so I don’t think it’s just because I already wore the songs out or anything like that.
I can see why some people don’t really care for “I Like It Rough”, but, I fuckin love it. It’s not my favorite on the album, but I am a sucker for J being “in character” like that on some fucked up shit to a bangin beat. I also give J huge props once again for really digging deep for some of these songs. I honestly don’t think Shaggy is being held down or anything, I just think J probably puts a LOT more time and effort into it.

I know that brotha which is kinda ok I guess. I mean J definitely does the better interviews has more interesting things to say and can tell a story naturally and is funny. I feel like shaggy could definitely get a little more talk time for sure BUT ONLY if someone sets a cap limit on the know what im sayings.. But I feel like his skills have just progressed more than js and it really seemed like he was limited on this album. Seems like j had to be the only one to “fite back”

I’m gonna out myself a little by saying this is the first album ive anticipated since Marilyn Manson in 2002ish.
First and foremost, the MEC production… Str8jacket’s production was top notch for his first jokers card attempt. You have to remember that the majority of us feel that J has final say so. The ‘hoos and haas’, ‘clicks and pops’, ‘whoops and violas’ are there if you listen for them. Their not as significant but they are there. The sampling is top notch. Throw backs hold a place for me cause im a 60’s-90’s nerd. Time of the Season, Electric Avenue, Friday the 13th theme, 8-bit Mario intro, and the many times they sampled themselves. Who else samples that shit? Whoop Whoop! Yesterdays trash is todays treasure. You also have to factor in our boys are growing and EVERYTHING is changing, this I can stand behind for sure. The new guy has my vote. Kudos Mr. Jacket, keep it up!
Lack of Shaggy appearance… He’s never had majority or equal lines. Even on his own disks there’s much speculations that J wrote most of the tracks. It is what it is. That’s why we need the book. J keep your hands off.
‘I like it rough’ didn’t need the warning. It may be a little oddly ‘dark’ for them, but compared to Taylor Swifts last album its ‘meh’.
I personally base disks off of whether I want to skip a track or not. I had none of that here. I’m looking forward to learning the lyrics front to back.
Excellent 4th card, second deck!

Necro sampled “Time of The Season” years ago on Sexorcist and his track is far better. He sounds like he did it one or two takes but his production and beat making skills are always awesome. They should’ve asked him to produce this. Could not be much worse.

shaggy openly admits to using ghostwriters and if you’ve been listening to icp for long enough you can tell when J has written something for shaggy. I dont think its a huge secret
What interviews did shaggy admit this in???
His lyrics are so subpar half the time I’m shocked he couldn’t write better ones lol
