So the words poop and buttcheek are too prevalent but it’s all at least interesting after a quick listen. I do know for sure that when Shaggy steps in to yell random weird shit that it is both stupid and annoying as hell. Poop dick? Pussy hole? Shut the fuck up, nimrod.
you mean like he’s done pretty much their whole career? lmao I do agree it was a bit extra juvenile this time around (nothing that cracked me up as much as hearing him yell “marmalated meth” on The Blasta) but it didn’t ruin the album for me just wish he had more verses

Its probably the best album they’ve put out on this new joker cards deck. Not sure how much that says though. Im not buying this “Fite Back” shit though. Feels like the worst gimmick or like when someone gives themselves a nickname.
Satalite is possibly one of my favourite ICP songs of the last 10 years. I dont feel like these pop-sampled tracks (West Vernor Ave and Low) have any place on a Jokers Card… but that’s just me.
Id say this album is more good tracks, than bad tracks, which is way more than I can say for the last 3 Jokers Cards. I think this is about as good as modern day ICP is gonna get.

Not feeling it as much as the rest of you but it’s alright, the beats are fine, concepts are mostly fine..just not into most of the songs. satalite is probably my favorite so far.
Not too many bad songs, though there definitely are some(on flip as well), but also hardly any songs that wow me or make me wanna go back to them. But it definitely sounds unique for ICP so maybe it’ll take some getting used to..I dunno.
So far I liked found more than this, some of phantom as well. I’m pretty disappointed honestly, expectations were sky high considering some of the early feedback I read and how ICP took their time on it and everything..Oh well, not totally giving up on it yet but not expecting it to be in my top half of ICP releases..I’m sure most of you disagree.
Not feeling J especially as much on these albums as I usually do.

On my 1st listen i feel Seriously Hilarious, Game Over, Shimmer, & Nobody’s Fault are the best tracks.. the latter is probably my fav..
I dont like the voice they used on the intro & skit, i think thats’ probably the worst thing about the album..
it’s crazy ironic that they said they preach against rape on dr. phil then decide to end their next album with the very topic.. that song feels like a “freak bitch” remake.. its not that disturbing.. overall it was better than i expected but not as good as i had hoped for..
looking forward to hearin’ “flip”.

I’m not sure how I feel about the album. I thought it a VERY solid beginning but then started to drop off with my first listening. The more I listen to the album the more I’m enjoying it. The auto-tune threw me off at first and put a weird taste in my mind, but I’m not minding it so much now. I absolutely love the lyrics and how story based this album is. I can tell they really tried on this album, and that’s what counts.

I’m not sure how this hasn’t been noticed or mentioned by now, but has no one else noticed that about half of the bridges and hooks on FFF are slightly off key? It’s like str8jacket is tone deaf slightly or something.
The tracks are decent overall, but for someone with an ear for music, some of the of this album is like nails on a chalkboard (kinda like listening to someone do karaoke that thinks they can sing, but can’t).
I’m not sure how someone involved in the production didn’t notice this, or maybe it was done deliberately for some reason, but it definitely takes away from the listening experience. Too many times I’m cringing because it’s slightly off.
This wouldn’t have happened with MEC.
Thanks for the input Mike E. 🥴

best track on the album??
beware
I mean we got a warning about a song that was supposed to be their most wicked song yet and it was meh
what you know about romance??
what you know about sex?
what you know about suffering and gag reflex?
In the summer I blast Q-Strange’s Slap that hoe as loud as I can while driving and some shitty Necro albums are much more rough than like it rough
but this is my favorite joker’s card from the second deck so far
the only tracks I do not like is WTF and Fury the two singles they released
freedom is like the opposite of nothing’s left
anyway this will be the only album I will be listening too for the next month or so i’m sure it will grow on me even more

I think at song like “Prom Queen” is way more disturbing that “I Like It Rough.” As somebody else said, that’s not even the most disturbing song on the record. “I Like It Rough” comes off like they were trying too hard and it’s not that disturbing and more disappointing than anything.
I need to listen to Fearless Fred a few times to digest it all. To be honest, I miss the old clowny beats from the 90s and Mike E Clark’s production, and I LOVED every single song they put out through “Bizarre Bizarre,” but after that it was hit and miss. With that said, this also is better than I was expecting but I’m not sure how many classics I’m hearing on first listen but we’ll see. I also got Flip The Rat at Rock Of Ages in Garden City, MI. They were selling the combo pack for $15.99.

- Intro
- A brief spoken introduction of Fred Fury and what he represents. Simple and to the point. Used more as an on-ramp to the next song.
- Red Fred
- The clowns introduce us to our newest carnival entity, Red Fred. It’s a simple song, but unique in it’s sampling of old school hip hop beats and style. It’s very reminiscent of past Joker’s card introduction tracks. It’s fun enough to get you hyped for the album you’re about to experience with a catchy enough chorus to keep you relistening.
- Fury!
- Our second single released changed a lot of people’s minds about how they felt about Fred. The song delivers on an updated style to the clown’s delivery with a lyrical focus on precision and substance. I almost wish the swelling of music in the final chorus came earlier in the other chorus’ because they seemed a little flat on their own in an otherwise high energy song. The song hits the concept hard. Don’t just cower and accept the hand you were dealt. Handle your situation. Take control of your life. Fight back!
- West Vernor Ave
- This song instantly had my attention. It starts with carnival-esque music and instantly brings in Shaggy with a high energy, bouncy, rap. The chorus is a modified version of ‘Electric Avenue’, but completely original in it’s use and delivery. It’s fun, it’s catchy, and gives a suggestion of what Inner City Posse may sound like if they were around 30 years later instead of the clowns.
- WTF!
- Our first single off the record was released to mixed reviews. I can say that within the context of the album it comes across much better. They even improved some of the sound quality issues people brought up. It’s not one of the more impressive songs on the album, but only because ICP has done similar themed songs better in the past, and even on this album.
- Satellite
- A perfect example how you can have positive uplifting song without it being too cornball sunshine and rainbows. It finds it’s theme and sticks to it while delivering a strong message of perspective. You can still be angry and appreciate what you have at the same time. The music is soft and melodic and something you could listen to on a rainy day.
- Seriously Hilarious
- This song’s roots are similar to 3:24 from the House of Wax EP. Violent J homes in on his targets and unleashes a raw and unfiltered lyrical cannonball at them. It addresses those who didn’t participate in the Juggalo March as well as typical industry snakes and venomous people in their lives. The song makes it clear that others find ICP to be the butt of a joke in the industry, which just leaves their defenses down as they swoop in and dominate.
- Game Over
- A truly unique song that samples classic video game sound bites and lets them seamlessly blend in to an original score. It’s the tale of a video game junky who abdicates his duties in life to pursue an escape in the form of video games. The song is very funny and does a great job using relatable phrases and subject matter that will leave most Juggalos saying, “Yeah. I know a guy like that.” I applaud ICP for swinging big with theme on this one. They’re exploring their avenues, but still keeping it wicked and fun which is what a lot of die hard Juggalos have been hoping for.
- Night of Red Rum
- Easily my favorite song on the album. It kicks down the door from the beginning and doesn’t stop. It captures so many essential ICP threads and delivers hard on all of them. The content is wicked, the flow is fun, the music is wild, the chorus is incredibly catchy. This is what I envision when I think of ICP evolving as a band. It’s incredibly original in style, but also reminiscent of why we listen to ICP to begin with. I always appreciate when ICP tries something new, but this song was like a warm blanket and mac & cheese. It just felt right. I would absolutely love this song live.
- Low
- As a fan of ‘Time of the Season” by The Zombies, I appreciate what ICP did here. I do think it draws away from the momentum the album was picking up at this point, and it would be better suited on the Mighty Death Pop cover album or Flip the Rat. It’s not a bad song by any means and uses a soft dark tone to relay its message, but it feels out of place on this album.
- Triplex
- A fun hybrid of ‘Suicide Hotline’ and ‘Multiple Myselves’, this song introduces a character with multiple personalities talking to his therapist. We meet Machete Eddie, Fat Hank, and Dan the Man as they all speak on their separate lunacies. Each offers a different form of psychopath which is fascinating as a concept, however, I feel like it’s been done before in a more interesting fashion. Still very good and seems to grow on me more with each listen.
- Nobody’s Fault
- This track takes its time and breathes in a melodic flow and very introspective lyrics. I feel like it’s a nice touch and does a fine job showing ICP doesn’t have to have wicked lyrics to still reach out to it’s demographic. Loneliness, regret, and burden are reflective of most Juggalos out there and this does well speaking with them. I appreciate the protagonist taking responsibility for his missteps. It’s seems on theme with Fred Fury and owning up to it.
- Hot Head
- This song feels like a well-done version of “Feels So Right” from FF4. With a tip-toe creeping style rhythm and dark lyrics, I’m sure this will please a lot of Juggalos. It delivers well enough, but after a few listens I can feel it slipping into the background because nothing particularly stands out about it. It’s good. I enjoy it. But I hope it grows on me more over time.
- Shimmer
- Violet J is at his best when he tells his dark tales. I was worried at first that this would be too similar to ‘Vera Lee’ and ‘In My Room’, but as the song progressed Violent J did such an excellent job conveying the hideous imagery of this terrifying woman and the carnal fear she instilled in our protagonist. The chorus is catchy while offering a horrendous visual just vague enough for everyone to paint their own picture inside their minds of Shimmer. The song ends with the boy’s bravery being rewarded which, I think, is the best example of Fred Fury’s message on the entire album.
- Freedom
- I think Freedom should have been the album closer. It’s a positive message about the freedom within once you let go of the anger and hatred that has been consuming you. It would’ve been perfect to say good-bye to the fury of Red Fred as we welcome the next card, but instead we get something else (which I’ll get to in a moment). This is what a positive ICP should aim for. It’s not too cheery but it’s message is still delivered through a positive lens, good delivery, and strong beats.
- Beware!
- A warning for the next track, which is a bit out of character given their traditional audience.
- I Like It Rough
- This song is a dark story of sadistic sex and the awful measures one will take to achieve it. On its own merit this song is well done with a solid flow and catchy chorus, however, the pre-cursor warning raises it to a pedestal of horror it’s not quite ready to receive. Yes, the song is grotesque in subject matter and, in the current social climate, may be seen in poor taste but ICP has created darker themed storylines than this. This song also doesn’t deserve to be the final song on a Joker’s card. Once again, on its own it’s a good song, but with a disclaimer saying how wicked it will be and the weight of ending the album on this note bears additional criticism. It doesn’t close out the theme of Red Fred and sadly that’s a disservice to this incredibly unique album.
OVERALL: Fearless Fred Fury is a welcome addition to the Dark Carnival. It’s quintessential ICP when they take their time and focus while swinging for the fences at the same time. It was a much-needed response after the mixed reviews of Missing Link (Lost and Found) which, like it or not, felt a bit scattered and rushed. I appreciate how they utilized different outlets of anger, so the message didn’t get stale as we progressed through. Overall, it’s a unique sound for ICP and brings out a lot of new while staying true to it’s roots. I’d recommend Fearless Fred Fury as an eclectic album that you can play over and over again.

After giving it a few spins I’m liking it less. It’s just kind of boring. There are moments here and there that are cool but overall it’s nothing I’m going to go back to in the future. Still, I’m not sad I purchased it. I’m happy they’re putting out new stuff. I think it’s just hard to compete with their back catalog.
