Honestly, I don't hear Violent J as much as everyone else does. I know he is on a lot of the tracks, but I think Dubbla holds his own well and steals the show.

People saying Psy should just let Dubbla do Dubbla and Psy should get rid of the gimmicks.  Really?  Is today the first day you listened to ICP or anything on Psychopathic?

obviously people want icp to stay icp but it wouldnt hurt if they did more non gimmick shit

The only artists that have ever had any success on Psy are ones with gimmicks (ICP, Twiztid, Blaze).

not one gimmick-less artist has gotten the opportunity to stick around for more than one album tho no one on psy was successful after their 1st album.. actually the only one who got 2 albums Esham, was kinda successful.. definitely as much as blaze was 2 albums in..

juggalos hate on the gimmicks but then have no interest in buying it without the gimmicks.

lol i dont think you can speak for everyone with saying that.. im only interested in buying music i deem as great.. whether or not it has a gimmick has nothing to do with my purchase nor do i hate on it if it does..

Are you saying Esham didn't have a gimmick?  If so, just how familiar are you with Esham's pre-Psychopathic career?  His gimmick was established LONG ago.  No he doesn't wear facepaint but not all gimmick's require facepaint.  Esham is the Unholy and the godfather of the wicked shit.  "Satanic"/acid rap is a gimmick all on its own.

My point is, too many juggalos seem to think they know what's best for Psychopathic more so than J does.  When these juggalos are successful in the music buisness for 20+ years then they can claim that but not a single one of them has been.  Most of these shit talkers are idiots sitting around doing nothing with their lives and are still butt hurt cause J somehow dissed them.

Juggalos need to just quit expecting so much and get back to enjoying the music.  Psychopathic does more for its fans than any label in the buisness and unfortunately too large a percentage of these fans act like ungrateful bastards.  Since I quit talking to other juggalos (for the most part), quit going to shows (I have a 12 year old daughter who keeps me far too busy - and frankly, the quality time with her is far more valuable than any show or gathering), and chose to just listen to the music and nothing else 8 years ago I enjoy it and value it so much more.  I'm not saying everyone should quit going to shows or anything like that.  Just that y'all need to enjoy this shit (Psychopathic in general, not just Hoodoo) for what it is, entertainment.  And if it doesn't entertain you then you're probably on the wrong forum.

lol yeah esham WAS a gimmick all unto itself.

Personally i felt like crystal skull was a throwback to the great milenko era. it was dark, evil wicked shit but it was still fun. you can really here it in tracks like Spells, i didnt like it that much but it was a dope ass track.

I think alot of the older juggalos have evolved just like normal people do as tehy grow up, they lose that wonderment in the world and become cynical and shitty. I was skeptical at first, but now i will happily eat a big serving of humble pie along with my hat. Its a good ass album, its jsut sad that the cynics of teh world most liekly wont see it.

I just put my order in for it. its worth it.

Alex Torres: In my opinion I believe y'all ninjas tore the roof out of it!!! I love it every song the beats and lyrics from the bottom of my heart this album is great fo real fo real.

Casper Hansen: I fucking like it. It's a good start for Big Hoodoo. Hope to see more like it.

Damian Juggla Haverty: I love the album the fuckin album is dope! The album really spoke to me and also gave me the chills at the same time. Every song was perfection. You are a great addition to Psychopathic homie!

Josh Swartzlander: Excellent Album!! I'm listening to it more right now at work. Bumped it all day yesterday. Much Love! Thank you.

Fred Spiezio: I think it's a great cd! I also think he will go over well with the fam and stay on psy for a long time.

Matt Watkins: Overall is this is a pretty strong debut album. It will never win over fans of mainstream rap/r'n'b but I don’t think that was ever the intention. If people would be willing to give it a chance I see no reason why Big Hoodoo couldn’t become a staple act of the label and the genre.

The Kripple King: Now this motherfucker bout that wicked Detroit shit! Bumpin that Crystal Skull all day!

Joseph Messina: Just finished listenin to BigHoodoo crystal skull. Let me tell you it was fukin amazing! Can’t wait to hear more from you!! WHOOP WHOOP!!

Kyle Schonher: Big Hoodoo your new entry album to psychopathic is so fucking dope love Hex and Mountain Climbing. Hope you do more soon! mmfwcl

Isaac Baranoff: The standout production of Crystal Skull occurs in Brian Kuma’s work on “Hexed” and “Blitzed”, the Mike E. Clark-assisted “Never Had”, and the Cold 187um-produced title track, while the best lyrical content on the album is the introspective, personal approach to “Never Had”. The combination of Big Hoodoo’s concept, music and lyrical approach make this one of the most exciting debuts from Detroit rap’s equivalent of Arkham Asylum since Boondox dropped The Harvest in 2006, and Hoodoo should take his place among Juggalo favorites like ABK and Blaze Ya Dead Homie in the years to come.

Wyat Brown: Damn! 2 tracks in and I am HOOKED on the BigHoodoo "Crystal Skull" record. All hip hop fans need to check out the newest psychopathic ninja.

Kid Vicious: Mad props to BigHoodoo! Crystal Skull is fucking awesome. Keep it up homie. I'm looking forward to more good shit from you in the future.

Cian: Just listened to one of the best psychopathic albums of all time, Crystal Skull by Big Hoodoo. I fucking loved it!

Casey Ballard: I recommend listening to Big Hoodoo. His shit is jumping. And Never Had is on some real shit. MCL ninja

InterThaDark: Mad Propz and Appreciation on Crystal Skull. You came all the way correct and schooled it with your own form of the Wicked Shit.

SiccStranger420: Crystal Skull exceeded my expectations. The World Is Very Different is quite possibly my favorite track on the whole album.

bcred81: Quite honestly fresh from beginning to end. Rare to find something so fresh from track 1-15 but damn. Hoodoo’s record is flawless.
