Just wanted to make a thread to discuss this product as not only am I super hyped for this release but also I’m sure it will be a hot topic soon after it comes out, given that enough of you guys actually plan on listening to it.
Personally, I am BIG on audiobooks, I listen to something every single night when I turn in for bed & am too tired or lazy to read ? but seriously this kind of thing is right up my alley & I’m seriously more excited about this than any other upcoming projects from PSY or MNE (although I am looking forward to Karma Forest). I thoroughly enjoyed Jumpsteady’s The Road as well & highly recommend it to any ninjas who may have passed it up.
(Side Note: I seem to recall hearing VJ tell a story about him running up to a tall hill in his neighborhood when he was young, possibly with his pet dog?, and encountering a monster of some sort. It was basically the true story behing the song I Saw A Monster, but I could almost swear that I remember hearing him tell it similarly to the fashion of Jumpsteady’s The Road, complete with sound effects & dramatization. Does anyone know what I’m remembering or where I can hear it again?)

i know that monster story is in the hard copy of behind the paint.. don’t recall ever hearing an audio version though.
i have never actually listened to an audiobook before since i like having the physical copy in my hands but i’m looking forward to this one. i have been doing a lot of biking lately and i could just throw this on device and listen. should be a decent “read” and ride haha

Im excited for it too, but idk if ill have the time to listen to it. My girl never read the book so, atleast now she will be able to peep out Js fresh story, instead of me tryin to recall somethin i read 10 years ago

Without a doubt Im more excited about this audiobook then any other PSY release. It works out perfect because I listen to Howard Stern 3 days a week and now ill have something too listen to the other 4 days, lol. Im also extremely excited to hear the added on hells pit era portion. I started working out about 2 months ago (spending around 1 1/2 hours a day of combined weights/cardio so this will make that time ever more enjoyable) Its been so long since I been this excited over a PSY release. and I just KNOW it will not disappoint.

Yeah, I’m super hype for this release too! Behind the Paint was the first and only book I’ve ever read cover to cover. I remember getting that and could NOT put it down. I know they schooled this one with the sound effects and all. And yes the Hell’s Pit story should be very interesting! Ill be getting this on release date fa sho. VJ is the ultimate story teller.

I’ve always preferred reading the actual book myself as opposed to listening to an audio book, but here lately I’ve taken to listening to ”true scary stories” that people read on youtube before bed so it should fit nicely into that routine.

I’ll be grabbing this at GOTJ for sure, really looking forward to it. Normally I hate audio books because they’re so damn slow, but I can listen to J for hrs.

This will be me my first audio book experience. I also prefer to read hard copies myself, been a bit hesitant on the whole audio book thing up until now. I’m excited to hear all the random extra stories he’ll be pouring into the original. VJ is one hell of a story teller.
