Whoah.  Dude.  I do NOT think that anyone is a “fanboy tard,” I’ve never said anything like that.  You’re putting words in my mouth.  I have not said anything as a diss to anyone on this forum (or to anyone ever about this topic), and I’m not sitting here using peoples’ opinion of Twiztid as some sort of basis to judge them.  That would be pretty fucking lame.  I thought that this was a debate about differing opinions on Twiztid/ICP…but apparently people are taking this to be some kind of personal argument.  I like debating, but I can’t stand arguments or drama.  (To me, a debate is when people have a conversation about their opinions on a subject, present any evidence that they feel fits, and everyone walks away with a deeper understanding of that subject, plus people usually people walk away liking/respecting each other more because, even though they may have differing opinions, at least they all care enough about the issue to think about it and be passionate about something. An argument/drama is when people make it personal, get mad at each other for having different opinions, say things just to offend others, and leave feeling pissed off at each other.)  It wouldn’t even make sense for me to talk shit about other people for being Twiztid fans, because although I’m not feelin what they’re doing right now at all, it’s not like I’m getting rid of my old Twiztid merch either.  I admit that I’m very critical, but it’s not like I have no love for them.  I just can’t support what they’re doing right now (or were doing up until a couple days ago. Maybe they’ve changed, that would be dope.  I’m currently super excited for the wizard of the hood set.)               

I’ve never in my life said that I think Twiztid HATES ICP.  That would be ridiculous…the word hate just doesn’t fit in this situation at all.  I think that Twiztid is jealous of the attention that ICP gets.  I’ve thought that ever since their last seminar at Hogrock (before they left psychopathic) where they sat there and complained about how ICP was getting more mainstream media attention than they were.

You and I have have two different views on ego. I see it as a plus when somebody loves them self. Of course, there is a point where people go too far, as in when Kanye says he’s the biggest rock star of all time, but Twiztid is far from that point. They admit their fallacies, they constantly say that they were nobodies and would still be nobodies with out us or ICP. I condone the fact that they challenge people that are slacking. I think they are the current kings of the wicked shit, and even if I didn’t, I have no problem with them saying it because I’d rather them think they are the best than think they aren’t shit. They’ve earned the ability to start taking pride like that in my book. I don’t think Lo Key is the King of Horrorcore, I think King Gordy is for a very good reason, but I don’t mind Lo Key referring to himself as the King of Horrorcore because he’s earned his spot. Fuck it, they’re all kings. They shouldn’t lie to themselves or lie to others about how they feel. If every body believed in themselves like that then a whole lot more would get accomplished. But people don’t, people put on fake egos. Where they tear everybody else down and destroy self esteems because they were too scared to make their dreams real. When you hear somebody talking about how they are great because they could fuck your bitch or they make more money than anybody that is a fake ego, somebody trying to tear others down to hide their own insecurities. But when you hear somebody admit their flaws, admit they wouldn’t be shit with out this that or the other, admit that they are only human like the rest of us yet still love them self enough to claim to be the king of wicked shit or what ever, that’s what I want to see. I don’t know why that pisses so many people off. What, is it jealousy? Are people intimidated by the fact that others have enough self esteem to try and create dreams? Do people feel as though they are walking all over them? Because they are not. If people feel insulted by it, that’s their self esteem issues. Anybody offended needs to really work on building themselves up rather than telling Twiztid to tone it down. It should inspire them rather than insult them.

Also, I’ll tell you something I learned about working hard in silence. It does not work. I was never recognized for the hard work I put into the company I work for until I started talking about it. I realized that the people that brag about their work get noticed, and the silent people will not. Once I started bragging because I got sick of all the shit I did getting unnoticed while lazier coworkers were held as saints they started noticing how hard of a worker I was. Now, most people that work with me would tell you I’m the hardest worker with in my field. And my actions backed up my words, I never lied to build my reputation. I bragged about what I was really doing, and I also brag about the coworkers I see that work hard too. I’ve been fucked so many times by that company but I’ve always seen it as a challenge and when I overcome I brag about it. Like, I one time had two weeks where two coworkers were out and I had to do the work of three people. I worked my ass off, schooled it, and had it looking better than it usually does with three people there. And damn right I bragged about it. It’s one of the things I get to use as leverage when it comes to talking about my raise. I mean, I understand how in certain situations bragging can be in bad taste, but I don’t think Twiztid did that.

Of course everyone is putting a bias on essentially everything that they think.  That doesn’t mean that we have to go through life being indifferent.  

Yes, we really do have two very different views.  To each his own.  (Although, of course I think people should love themselves!  It’s possible to love yourself and still be humble/modest.)  

Maybe it didn’t work for you, but it’s worked well for me. Even if it didn’t work for me though, I hope that I wouldn’t compromise my moral code just to get ahead in life.  Obviously you have different values that you live by…I don’t see anything wrong with that.  The reason why I have an opinion on Twiztid’s perceived cockiness is because by buying their merch/going to their shows I would be directly supporting it with every dollar I spent, which would go against what I believe in.  But it’s not like I want to see them fail, I just wish they would be more modest.

I don’t think so, probably more like J was geeked about the idea and that’s what he was trying to get Twiztid to talk to him about.

I think J’s being mostly straight here, but not 100%.  That zugzwang shit that @scruffy was talking about is no accident.  Not to mention if the issue is just that J wants Twiztid to call him back, I mean there are easier ways to make that happen than the way he went about it.  

I think J knew exactly what the reaction would be like, and the point was to provoke and rein Twiztid in a little bit.  It’s like, go off and start your own label if you want, but this other shit is starting to go too far- knock that shit off with the bitchy Periscope videos, you still have to return J’s phone calls, and don’t even think about starting your own Gathering.  Because despite what your ego may tell you at times, breaking away from ICP completely and trying to be the big dog is not going to be a good career move.
