i think i figured out what it is that i dislike about the found album. they aren't really trying to inspire us to be better people on it. it's just sort of accepted that if you've found your peace then you're good and that's it. There's no call to help others find theirs or anything.

Lost is all about trying to help juggalos become better, found is just like "aight you're cool now".

I don't know how you can say I got it 'all wrong" and then say it wasn't supposed to inspire us. That's literally what i just said?

Lost was about trying to inspire us to "found our missing link", which works for me. I like that they want to help me be a better person. found doesn't seem to expect me to change at all and that feels kind of hollow. -everything icp does- has been rooted in trying to inspire juggalos to be better people, but found seems to just be "alright man, cool, you're good."

I get that it can work for some people, it just feels kind of hollow to me. I need to keep moving forward. My religion is all about trying to grow and trying to help other people grow, so just being like aiight you're cool, doesn't really work for me.

Those are my initial reactions, like it a lot more than lost. I also seem to like the song 'found' a lot more than most of you but I also dislike 'juggalo party' more than most of you it seems.

There are some serious stand out tracks on this album. Get Clowned, Lost at the Carnival, & The Midway all have that classic ICP carney sound I love and always want from them. I Fucked A Cop is also bad ass.

One minute he's on God that the Devil and the next he's using imagery and parables belonging to Buddhism and eastern philosophy.

Honestly, those things are kinda mutually exclusive.

But I really dig the new albums so... fuck it.

I don't think they're using God and the Devil in the way most people do though. They're not saying an old guy up in the clouds. I use the phrase "great, unknowable divine being" when i speak about it in terms of religion. The devil is just the opposite.

And they aren't mutually exclusive. A buddhist monk speaks at my church every year on the first sunday of the year and he likes to talk about how loving kindness is what eases pain in the world and how some people might be on a karmic cycle that is on the upswing even if they seem dangerous and violent.

One sunday he said a serial killer might have been a demon in his past life, a demon in hell who showed kindness to someone and was given the opportunity to live a human life because of it.

ICP aren't "christian", after all. They're sort of open ended agnostics who lean towards pantheists.
