I really like that. Props.

Didn’t they state somewhere that they still would have been as successful if they were always ISI? Without any help from J? Well, if the theory of the Metaverse is legit, then somewhere, in a distant corner of time and space, there is an ISI station on the radio, playing nothing but ISI. And on weekends, old school HOK hits.

But I doubt it.

Thinking deeper, there’s another OMD talking shit about Psychopathic and he’s a fucking Young Wicked mark to the bone.

But I doubt it.

Lol, some string theory right there. I can picture some martian or something in deep space bumping ISI. (Or I guess right now it would be some cuts off Home Sweet Home.)

Agreed with y’all mostly. Content wise, year of the sword is boring.

The songs that pop the most are the weed song and meme song (netflix and chill). Sadly those aren’t very original ideas either but they were a nice break from the hater this and that tracks. It’s not that the album is bad, but it’s kind of stale. Idk. It bumps and I like the diversity in performers, but content wise it is empty.

I only fell in love with Psychopathic artists to begin with because I like violent lyrics, creative song ideas, and gimmicks. This sounds like run of the mill hip hop music, and frankly if I want that I tend to look elsewhere.

The reasons I didn’t love Mans Myth and all of Green Book were because Twiztid was falling into the “Sex Song”, “Weed Anthem”, “Depression Song” pattern. Don’t get me wrong, most of those songs were dope. But it became a predictable formula.

Maybe Psychopathic requested them to do this, who knows. Now that they’re “free” they don’t seem to be able to branch out any faryher, however. Maybe this is what they want.

Just in case you guys think I mean I love the sex song and weed song, that’s not what I meant. I’m saying they stood out the most content wise. They were different from the rest of the album. They “popped out” (although not something original by any means lol)

I finally got a chance to sit down and listen to both discs.  I really like this for the most part.  My only 2 complaints are that ClockworC needs to switch up his flow from time to time, and I want to hear Madrox do some more slower stuff where the lyrics tell a story.  It feels like he’s either spitting really fast throw away bars on a lot of their more recent stuff, or he’s singing hooks.  He’s good at both of those things, but I would like to hear him slow it down a little bit. And ClockworC is really good at the flow that he does, but it sounds kinda wonky when the beat isn’t designed for that.

For the bonus disc, I’ll say that L.A.R.S. and Blaze were the 2 standouts for me.  Actually, that Blaze track is now in contention for my favorite Blaze track that I’ve heard.  Boondox on the other hand…the fuck was he thinking with that hook?  It’s terrible and kills a song where the verses are actually pretty good.  Sounds like redneck Dark Half

And revisiting Madrox for a moment, this is the kind of stuff I want to hear every once in a while: 2:24 (and this rip sounds like butt, but it sounds good on the album)

Anywho, I give the album a 7/10.  Not the best thing I’ve heard, but still good.

I can’t speak on the bonus disk, but as far as the regular album goes, I agree about ClockWorc, but I’m also just not really a fan of him in general. Iunno, something about his style just doesn’t do it for me. and it always feels like he’s not actually saying anything worth listening to, and he sounds like he’s foaming at the mouth every time he raps, no matter what he’s rapping about.

As far as what you said about Jamie, I kind of feel that way about MOST choppers, and it’s why I listen to so few. Yea, sure, you can spit fast…but can you say anything of value while doing it?

He has some good bars on Ape-X and Damn Dirty Apes. “Getting beat like a red-headed step child” comes to mind.

But his verses on this sound like “TRIPLET TRIPLET TRIPLET CHECK MARK TRIPLET TRIPLET TRIPLET CHECK MARK TRIPLET CHECK MARK!” His singing is more comprehensible, but it’s still in that rhythm for some reason.  His verse on “Fucked” is the most jarring because the rest of that song is pretty slow.

Album is dope, Gordy shined hard hoping he’s granted a solo lp opportunity on MNE after they finish the LARS run.

This album is still in rotation for me, i usually use it when i’m getting ready for the day. Stand out tracks for me:

Their Fault

Cut Em Up

Don’t Fuck Wit Us

Better Than Ever B4

Don’t Tell Me

B.N.U.

(so i made a playlist with just those tracks)

I’m not into sex tracks or weed songs since i don’t smoke anymore and i just can’t get into hearing about dudes getting or trying to get it in. AMB’s grinding was dope as fuck too and LARS’s It’s A Hold Up goes hard. Some of the tracks i can’t fuck with like that turn it up song and heads will roll idk too aggressive (don’t know if that’s the right word) but the beats had me like “Ow my freaking ears” like Ned Flanders’ son. everything else is straight.
