My copy didnt come today. What s the point of a pre sale if you cant even get it to the customer on the release date? Isnt that supposed to be a benefit of pre ordering it?

LMAO…to be fair Cut Em Up is really the only track I replayed a few times over before moving on so it has that going for them but that hook is weak and Young Wicked’s verse was garbage (“I’ma raw muthafucka you a smack down” LMAO)…also if I’m being honest…if Twiztid has any real proof or have actually witnessed any pedophilia going on at Psychopathic or with J they should be going to the authorities or doing something more than just teasing it on diss tracks where you can’t even mention their name…I remember Esham saying similar shit a few years back when he was still salty with ICP and it seems to be the ‘go to’ remark for these bitter former artists (until they squash the beef of course and act like none of that was ever said)…they could just be referring to that employee that got booted but sounded like it was directed at J

overall there’s a couple of tracks I enjoy but for the most part its a cluttered mess trying to put together artists that just don’t sound good together…stood out the most with Gorilla Voltage as they literally sound copy/pasted onto songs…just don’t understand the appeal of their music as they seem to automatically bring down any song they appear on…Bonez was another weak link that weighed down a few tracks…and there wasn’t enough Lex either (even his track on the bonus disc is just a song from Beyond Redemption rather than a brand new cut for this compilation)…not a fan of any of the skits really (Twiztid really has lost their sense of humor since leaving Psychopathic…shit just comes across so forced now…”oh look an arcade guys!!!!”)…they even had the nerve to do their own summon the magic ninja skit which was also stupid

all in all they tried to pull a Tech N9ne Collabs album off and aside from a few songs here and there it’s a mess in my opinion…more of the same from a label that keeps hyping up being the new, innovative ones apparently

The context of the split is the reason that 95% of these things get interpreted as disses.  Basically if anyone at MNE says anything about money, rape, pedophilia, honor, dishonor, facepaint, gangs, or anything about Detroit, it’s “a diss directed at ICP.” 

Come on.  It’s rap shit-talk.  Could be about anything, anybody, nothing, or nobody.  Just words and music.  

you could make arguments for some of the other songs they’ve released taking light jabs…Cut Em Up is pretty obvious (Twiztid’s verses at least)…it could literally be about no one else lol they can hide behind not saying names all they want but when it’s that clear it’s a bit different

I love how 2 Dope’s new album has some cook varied subjects. Topics include a giant nutsac and all the foibles that accompany that, smoking crack, party track anthem, etc.. there were like 2 diss mentions and 1 loyalty track. 

Imagine how pathetic and uncomfortable it would be to sit around in whatever studio the MNE cats use, and try to hype each other up over blunts about how much you claim to hate ICP to appease your label owners. That’s pretty lame.

Well ICP did diss Twiztid directly in a music video without Twiztid responding at all.  G-mo did that one stupid track, but that’s pretty insignificant.  So if they were to diss back, there would be a reason why at least.  The only instances of Twiztid firing back were a guy asking Madrox loaded questions with a video camera in his pocket and their brief response to the tell-all.  Nothing really significant imo

The only reason I got into Gorilla Voltage was because a bunch of vloggers were going on about how they were mistreated on the label. I went ahead and listened to their album because I’m a jerk off who eggs on the underdog and thinks that makes me cool. Their music is nice sounding in my opinion.

With that being said, I understand why you said they sound copy and pasted onto tracks since they mostly rap with gun bars. A song has a certain direction, the artists try to go towards said direction, but Gorilla Voltage just comes in with “Tougher than a, killin’ all the, harder than a..” kind of stuff.

They aren’t a “bad” group though. Have you given their album or the “Them damn dirty apes” shit a listen? I’d recommend the “Level up” song.

honestly I thought this would be a dope album because of all the hype but just can’t get into it. it’s like twiztid is just throwing things together because it’s how they make money and no other reason..no emotion whatsoever to any of it and the beats aren’t even good, just kind of there. I’m for real disappointed with this like wtf and the beef is so old it’s pointless.. I just wanted some good music but it seems like for real they’re not gonna make a comeback
