In the thread about MNE vinyl releases people would like to see,
https://www.faygoluvers.net/v5/…..vinyl-mne/
I suggested a 5 year anniversary of “The Murder” by Boondox. This one would be double vinyl with all the songs the cd had, and the music video version of OUTLINED IN CHALK since it sounds better and the album version does not have a good sounding chorus or even the Gorilla Voltage verse. Then someone said Blaze’s “The Casket Factory” is also abridged.
I know on The Casket Factory they hacked of nearly all the skits and beginings of song, but leaving out full songs? Damn.
Gotta say I’m disappointed. Here is the cd listing as given by Amazon for “The Casket Factory.”
1. The Funeral (Intro)2. 2Middle Fingers3. Ghost (feat. Kung Fu Vampire)4. Call Now! (Commercial Break)5. The Way U Look B4 U Die (feat. DJ Swamp)6. Ratchet (feat. ABK)7. Eternal8. They Call That Gangsta (feat. The R.O.C., Lex the Hex Master)9. Worm Food (feat. DJ Swamp)10. Who U Lookin’ 4 (feat. Boondox)11. Unbreakable (feat. Madrox, DJ Swamp)12. Electric Witch13. Necromancy (feat. Twiztid)14. I Will Bury U!15. Casket Factory Interlude16. Bleed17. Gray & Blue (feat. Prozak)18. The Painted Man
*not on the vinyl
Let’s see the vinyl on Amazon. Only 14 tracks.
1. The Funeral (intro) 1:27
2. 2Middle Fingers 2:51
3. Ghost (ft. Kung Fu Vampire) 3:50

As in the other thread, I am wondering why Twzitid spends the money and resources to put out their albums on full length double vinyl, but they are going to chop up albums of others on vinyl? I say they should worry more about quality (full length albums) than quantity (how many albums on MNE can we press on vinyl).

Along with this, one thing that pisses me off is that on the casket factory vinyl, there are 7 songs on the A side (bessides the skit) and 6 on the B side. On TCEOL? vinyl, there are 3 songs per side for 2 records! Is that me or does that seem completely unnecessary? With the Casket factory spanning 13 songs and 1 skit and TCEOL? having 12 it seems like they are apologetically short changing the other artists, especially with G-Mo’s filthy spirit bomb going from goddamn 19 to 12 when transferred to vinyl . I can understand maybe the decision behind G-Mo with him being new to the game, but Blaze and Boondox there is no excuse for that.

They did the same thing with the Darkness. They chopped off the skits and the bonus tracks entirely. It seems like MNE is beginning to stop releasing all the artists on Vinyl. They didn’t with Young Wicked or ROC. I question how the vinyl albums are really selling for them because the Pre-ordered Vinyl bundles can’t seem to sell out. At least Psychopathic limits the amount released.

Yes it is necessary from the point of view of sound. Think of a canoe trying to navigate some really tight turns in a narrow creek, but ending up scraping the edges of the creek itself. It does not/can not stay perfectly in the middle. If the record has space for one more song, but does not actually have one, that prevents the phenomenon known as inner groove distortion. Basically as the groove gets shorter and bends more sharply at the end of the record, the velocity decreases and it is harder for the needle to pick up everything that is in there.
https://www.faygoluvers.net/v5/…..1/#p191373
The solution is to either get a linear tracking arm or just have a really good turntable with an S shaped arm and a super sharp japanese shibata needle.
“Guest” and myself also explained on page 3 of another topic why because of inner groove distortion, a full length double LP cut at 45 rpm would be better.
https://www.faygoluvers.net/v5/…..yl/page-3/
On page 4, one can see at the bottom of my post though why some sources pick linear arms, and why some stick with traditional arms on turntables that are bolted in at the top right hand corner.
https://www.faygoluvers.net/v5/…..yl/page-4/
In my opinion, there is no excuse for not “doubling up” in order to spread the music over albums to prevent inner groove distortion when it comes to other artists on MNE.

I’m just a little over 730 pieces in my collection. I have always been willing to pay more for better quality vinyl.
Here’s a detailed description of inner groove distortion.
When he says RPM, he means revolutions per minute. The article he links to in his description is on a site that no longer exists. Here is the webarchive version.

Just an FYI, Amazon messes up track lists pretty often. The last one I remember is the newest Cudi CD. They left off a few tracks, and didnt mention it was actually a 2 CD set. Im not saying thats the case for these albums, but its a possibility…
Blaze Ya Dead Homie’s “Casket Factory” vinyl tack listing from discogs.
https://www.discogs.com/Blaze-Ya-Dead-Homie-Casket-Factory/release/7981226
This conforms with the given vinyl listing for Amazon.
kottonkiing’s post about the abridged vinyl of G-Mo Skee has also been confirmed by discogs.

Twiztid’s “The Darkness” does indeed also suffer from being the ‘short’ version.
10 tracks on vinyl.

16 tracks on cd.

To get more specific about how The Casket Factory vinyl was shortened i broke it down song by song:
Ok, so there is alot
The Funeral: Unchanged
2 Middle Fingers: The song ends at “the resurrection will not be televised”
Ghost: Cuts out last 10 seconds
Call now!: The skit ends half way through at “we’ve got you covered… eh… uh boxed”
The Way U Look B4 U Die: beginning is cut and goes immediately into the first verse.
Ratchet: Skips the beginning skit immediately into “Bitch yous a ratchet”, and cuts the radio static at the end
Eternal: Cuts a good chunk of the screaming at the start and car crashing at the end
They Call That Gangsta: unchanged
Worm Food: unchanged
Who U Lookin 4: Cuts off the beginning talking and cuts the track half way through the last bleed, like it gose to the next track half way through the word bleed
Unbreakable: Starts at “America’s favorite dead man” and cuts out the record scratching at the end
Electric Witch: Starts at the verse and cuts out the talking at the end
Necromancy: Starts at the verse
I Will Bury U: Cuts out most of the shoveling
To clear up when i say that it starts at the verse I mean It skips any sounds or talking before the lyrics start

Well given the track record (pardon the pun) of Twiztid cutting up other artist’s albums on vinyl, and I guess one of their own (“The Darkness”) I’m a little wary of their upcoming “Abominationz” picture disc in July.
Yeah now that this is all brought to light, I’m gettin pretty worried considering I already pre ordered it since I loved Abominationz. I haven’t herd TCEOL? on vinyl though so I’ll have to see.
