We are about to get 14 inches or more as we speak, I was just at work prepping for it and will be back in the a.m. for more. We know how to deal. We lived through The Blizzard of 93 aka "The Storm of the Century". In poverty. Having recently moved into our home that wasn't finished yet, from a literally hunting shack. Without public aid (no offense to anyone that has received it, either, my dad was just a proud fool about that). Look it up, it was insane but we thrived out in the country.

I was simply comparing survival situations. And I don't think I've ever had Ben and Jerry's. I like Breyer's. 

One thing I missed that amazingly you don't see a lot of around thr country is soft serve ice cream stands. They're everywhere here. There is one called King Kone in upstate NY next to one of the hardest ghettos (where my brother lived and I also helped wire the complex with my dad, go figure).. and so happy they're still in business. There have been times where I discussed soft serve in the south and Midwest and some people don't know what the fuck I'm talking about. It is absolutely one of the most rewarding goddamned treats in culinary existence. 

Anyway, we will be fine. I'm as much of a disaster prepper as someone who is temporarily living in an upstairs apartment can be. But that's besides the point. Nothing major will happen. We will be fine.

Here in Montreal Dairy Queen is only open in the spring and summer they close just after Halloween and open back up in May and they only sell ice cream I see those commercials on TV with the burgers and chicken tendies but here it's just ice cream my go too is always the medium crispy crunch blizzard.
