Spetz Propaganda:

A form of propaganda where Russian trolls post hyperbolic lies online, as an attempt to radicalize paranoid, uneducated unaffiliated/Right aligned civilians to destabilize the West.

Common propaganda techniques that "Spetz" targets often fall for:

1. [Opposition Political Party/Politician] did/believes in/is planning to [insert hyperbolic concept]
2. [Aligned Political/Party] exposed [Opposition Political Party/Politician]; they're trying to [insert hyperbolic concept]
3. [News Story] is a false flag/fake news because [Politician/Biased News Source] said so!
4. [News Story] is a true news because [Politician/Biased News Source] said so!
5. Weaponizing logical fallacies and cognitive biases by promoting them as sound instead of exposing them as unsound
6. Promoting the idea that mainstream sources, citations and sound evidence are tactics to distract from "the [narrative] truth"
7. Promoting the idea that you can just insult people that ask for evidence, and that equates to a debunk
8. Promoting the idea that anecdotes supersede peer-reviewed, evidence-based statistics
9. That spreading propaganda makes you a warrior helping "the cause"
10. That insulting and threatening people discourages "the opposition" which makes you a warrior for "the cause"
11.  Promoting "alternative sources" with the claim mainstream sources are part of an organized conspiratorial effort

The Russians have basically weaponized "useful idiots". Most of the "New Right" and "Alt Right" outrage, hyper-Nationalism, general radical reactionary behavior and stupidity started as unaligned and Right-aligned civilians without higher education started gaining access to networked technology and started becoming addicted to conspiracy websites and sources run by Spetz Propaganda circles and associated circles.

Basically, as uneducated Right aligned people started getting online, they immediate sought confirmation bias in relation to the propaganda laid down by the Right. The Russians immediately seized this opportunity and have been exploiting mania, paranoia, and narcissism often found in those disenfranchised groups. They've hooked them by getting them addicted to outrage, hyperbole and social conflict.

The second flank is to get people to adopt symbolism, rhetoric and propaganda parroting while also getting their targets to convince themselves they're independent, critical thinkers standing up against tyranny.

The primary approach:

• Bait with lies based on trigger words
• Rapid fire conspiracy theories
• Amplify extremist voices
• Insult detractors
• Repeat trigger words and promote parroting and denialism of parroting
