Update, so I was supposed to have made my first visit last saturday, but I lost my password for online sign ins and the password recovery on the website is bullshit. And between, weather, work, PT, and all other assorted bullshit going on I have yet to be able to go into the office and recover my shit so I can get this ball rolling. But it will be starting sometime between next seek and the start of february. Also, for others contributing, I’m not going to be able to donate as much as I originally thought because I won’t be donating nearly as long as I thought. Turns out a spot opened up at MEPS, and provided a surgery on my ankle doesn’t need a waver (which will take  damn near forever to clear) I’ll be leaving for bootcamp as early as May. 

TL;DR, hoe shit happened and I haven’t been able to start donating yet but will be shortly and we’re gonna meed a little bit more help from others since I’ll now be going to boot camp 4-5 months earlier than originally thought.

Any updates from anyone else? @scruffy @ocj_brendan ? Anyone other than them? I think @patjoyce said he’d chip in too

Well it wasn’t technically my ankle, it’s like a hair above my literal ankle but anywho, I was gonna play football Sophomore year of highschool and was in superb shape and geeked to go obliterate some jock dick holes, and on the third day of practice before the school year even started I got hit in a tackle drill and twisted my ankle going down because our practice field is shit and full of divots, gopher holes, and ant hills and tore the ligaments holdie my tibia and fibula together. They seperated by about half an inch. Sounds gruesome, but it wasn’t visible or nothing and didn’t hurt very bad. Just a dull throbbing annoying kind of pain. Everyone thought I was faking it too, “oh this scrub fag just wants to get out of practice herp der herrrr” and our medical guy just told me ice and aspirin would fix it, since that’s his solution to everything. But my mom took me to get checked out just in case, and sho’ ’nuff I needed screws put in my leg. Then, 2 months before they were set to take them out my doctor said I could walk on my leg again without crutches. What he didnt account for was I’m a fatass and would break the screws. (I gained a LOT of weight while on crutches too) so they had to remove the already in place screws and put new ones in. But one of the screws I broke a tiny tiny tiny piece is still embedded in my leg. Can’t feel it, causes no pain, my leg is just fine, etc. etc. but because it’s there I may need a waver.

I think the best way to do this is through direct gifting. Like buy the ticket, buy the travel, buy the stuff, etc. then mail it to him.
