i think itd be hilarious if no real catastrophe occured at all, yet everyone is so hyped about it that they freak out anyway, and we all sort of go insane at the same time.
that would shake things up for a while.

Nothing's going to happen… then again the end of an “era' thing could be about new powers coming to be. You know fictitious things like mutants or superhuman type beings coming into existence. Or well certains religions being correct and a seven headed beasts rises. The prediction of a solar flare occurring is quite ridiculous as it'll occur randomly. Anything is possible nothing will happen.
Aliens somebody with actual physical proof prove they exist. We exist yes but we can't prove other life in the universe exist just yet.

Here is the Mayan calendar. Notice anything? It is a CIRCLE! There is no beginning and no end to a circle. The end is the beginning is the end is the beginning is the end…Cycles come and go only to be repeated. The History Channel and the media LOVE them some catastrophe and controversy. I grew up with it: It was the year 2000, the Y2K, the (misinterpreted) book of Revelation. It had me seized by fear as a child. But don't believe the hype. The cycle's beginning again and the shift will be subtle. It's your own consciousness. And you can choose where you want to take that. Find it. Make the best of your time <3

We don't even know what happened to the Mayans so how could we understand everything they left behind? They can guess drought and all that, but no ones for sure.

I agree. It is widely considered that the Mayans actually predicted a rather large shift in human consciousness but rampant media-driven sensationalism has led people to believe a giant catastrophe will occur……but then again, maybe it will.

why does anyone place any stock in what the maya thought? aside from a few almost vestigial remnants, the world ended for them over three hundred years ago.
oh, and… your favorite english teacher wants you to know that maya was a civilization, mayan was a language [a language group, actually]. 'the mayans' is a misnomer.

Maybe it’ll be the rapture, but like, for real this time.
I really don’t believe there was ever meant to be any significance to a calendar ending. Last year, my calender ran out of dates. The world didn’t end, I just got a new calendar. It’ll happen again this year, too. Theoretically, time is an infinite concept and an infinite duration of time is impossible to record in physical form. They had to stop it somewhere.

I dont think its the end of life or the world,But i do think it will be the end of freedom as we know it,Since we now have a black hitler in the white house who has now signed away our constitutional rights to run the country under his rule.Thats my theory and my opinion.Fuck it if it dont make sense to you it dont make sense to you.Thats just what i think,However if it were to be the end of humanity and the world,And if there truly were a “GOD”,Why would he want to end civilation on this planet when there are newborn babies being born everyday,Dont ya think they deserve a chance to experience life as we did.
