The Dark Carnival Tarot voted #1 Tarot card of 2012!

Our good homie Rachel Paul hit us up with the results to the Tarot Card deck voting. In case you don’t remember, a few weeks back, we told you about her Dark Carnival Tarot deck being a part of a ballot on the world’s largest tarot website: Aeclectic.net.  Juggalos and Juggalettes, you came through with a vengeance!  Because of you, the Dark Carnival Tarot was voted the #1 Tarot Deck of 2012!!  It actually came in at #7 for the best tarot decks of all time!!  Who would have thought that Juggalos and Juggalettes would dominate the tarot world?  Here’s how the rankings ended up:

Rachel is beyond grateful for your hospitality, and just taking the 5-10 seconds it took to make her deck number one!  Here’s what she said in response:

It’s official: The Dark Carnival Tarot was voted the #1 deck of 2012 on the largest tarot site in the world. This is a HUGE honor in the tarot publishing world and beyond. Wow. To add to this, the DC Tarot also broke into the site’s list of “Top Ten Decks of All Time” at lucky #7 (my number). I’m blown away. Just…wow. I’m not sure how this is going to affect things for the DC Tarot moving forward in 2013, but I know one thing for sure: This is not about me personally as an artist. This is about the Dark Carnival and the juggalos. And ICP. And Psychopathic Records. The mainstream thinks we’re degenerates, outcasts, and nothing? The FBI calls us gang members. Well guess what? It seems our circus grounds have bred something great and something beautiful–something meaningful and fun and colorful. We’re showing the world something they ain’t ever seen before, and wigs get blown clear off. Just remember this: The faces in this tarot deck are our own faces. Every person depicted is a real person from the carnival clique. And every card is another lyric in our endless song together. I know the juggalo vote made this happen. Thank you, thank you, thank you, sincerely and truly, from the bottom, farthest reaches of my heart. The tarot world’s gettin shook up by these little facepainted fortune tellers: “We ain’t welcome at the banquet cuz nobody vouched for us. But here we are, grubbin so loud, they can’t ignore us.” Today, I’m celebratin y’all with a gratitude that’s beyond words. Cheers, homies!

Rachel has already pressed up and sold over 200 decks, and now has a smaller, more economical deck if you’re interested in snatching one up! You can do so by clicking right here!

Thanks for helping shine a positive light on Juggalos!

Thanks, yo! Sketches: It’s the biggest tarot website in the world. Faygoluvers is to juggalos what Aeclectic is to tarot-lovers. With the juggalo vote, the DC Tarot (which is entirely juggalo-produced) beat out decks published by major publishing conglomerates AND made it onto the list of the top decks of all time…It’s a pretty big honor in these here parts! You guys are the best! <3
