I’ve been trying to get to this post all day, but it sucks when you have to write about some negative shit. At any rate, here goes nothing! There have been a few articles in the mainstream media within the past day or two concerning Juggalos and Juggalettes. The first that I’ll tell you about is about a Juggalo named Gino DiMatteo who has been charged federally on some weed related crimes. From the looks of the police raid, he is a grower/seller and could spend from 5-40 years in prison. FOR FUCKING WEED! When are we going to get over this shit? There was a shooting in Sacramento where an 18 year old named Daniel Cartwright killed his father. There is no known motive for the murder, but of course they highlight the fact that he claimed to be a Juggalo on his Facebook page. You can read that story here:

The final subject of this post is about the Austin, TX area, where they’ve seen a rise in crime in the downtown area, which they are attributing to a group of Juggalos who recently relocated there. The first article is a serious one, and the second is an editorial saying how ridiculous it is that Juggalos are labeled a “gang”. Check those out below:

My dad is a police officer for escondido in san diego county, and he brought me the their gang assesment on juggalos and that chick with the blaze jersey was on there too.All this is out of control.Im a 31 year old juggalo and I did dumb shit when I was a kid too but these young juggalos need to figure it out that the law is going to fuck us 10x harder for doing crimes and being a juggalo so the moral of the story is DONT WEAR HATCHET GEAR SHIT WHEN DOIN DUMB SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am working on getting a good word on our juggalo story. “A Juggalo Story” is a documentary I have filming at the moment to share a light on the juggalo culture. We are currently in Forth Worth.

There is no criteria for being a juggalo..being a juggalo means different things for different people….just how I feel about it
