I had a long post explaining why I don't take advice from random people anymore, what kind of advice I'm looking for and how my position in music comes from other areas I need to work on that isn't the music and it all got deleted.

Either way, listen to a newer song like Misanthrope or Voices and compare it to an older song like Hip Hop's Devil or The Musick. That is where listening to established people has gotten me. Now all I need is marketing advice, etc. Advice on pretty much everything that isn't making the music.

And the only time I actually consider what random people think is when everybody complains about the vocals being down too low or something like that.

What kind of marketing issues are you having?

Getting yourself out there is hard.  I sold around 2k cds in parking lots and still never got noticed lol. Of course you have a slight advantage there as you are targeting a niche group that tends to be very supportive.

Have you ever tried hitting up local shows as a opener,  or just going to a local hororcore show and handing out your shit with an email,  facebook or YouTube stamped to it?

I mean what are your ultimate goals?  From my point of view you work hard on the music but you seem standoffish promoting yourself.

I mean you got jiffy and kotton Kandy and warlock shoving shit down people's throats while you make a thread and just stay put. Be persistent.

Further on the subject of self promotion you help other artists less skilled then you and get barely any recognition for it. You are an aggressive poster but your business savy fucks you hard. Try being an aggressive self promoter, use others to help promote you.

You say you don't want opinions but what if your overall review is good on a top fucking Juggalo site? Would only help your marketing.

Besides I am not going to outright flame you guys work.  If I feel it needs work I will tell you personally the specifics and your rating will reflect the specifics.  However I am not going to say on a public review that you suck and trash you.  The goal is to help you ultimately.  If you want marketing advice I got tons.  But we can talk about that shit here or PM. Ultimately get your face out there people connect with you more.  Every idiot and his momma have a YouTube and facebook but to get true fans you have to get out there.

It took me a few days but I finished the album last night. My favorite thing is lucem isn't afraid to let the beat ride for a while. Most music now is basically verse hook verse.

As someone who listens to a lot of classic rock where 4 minute guitar solos are common, I really dig that.

Plus the album is dark as fuck. Another plus

All of them. Mostly lack of money at the moment but that will change soon.

Getting yourself out there is hard.  I sold around 2k cds in parking lots and still never got noticed lol. Of course you have a slight advantage there as you are targeting a niche group that tends to be very supportive.

I'm not targeting juggalos because I don't want to be cornered into one culture. That puts a glass ceiling over my head.

Have you ever tried hitting up local shows as a opener,  or just going to a local hororcore show and handing out your shit with an email,  facebook or YouTube stamped to it?

Nope.

To be the very best. The best there ever was.

From my point of view you work hard on the music but you seem standoffish promoting yourself.

Pretty much. I'm a hard working music maker but a lazy promoter. I just need a battle plan or a clue on that front.

I mean you got jiffy and kotton Kandy and warlock shoving shit down people's throats while you make a thread and just stay put. Be persistent.

I don't think Jiffy does that. But I don't do that because it gets annoying. I feel as though it doesn't change how much attention my music gets.

Further on the subject of self promotion you help other artists less skilled then you and get barely any recognition for it. You are an aggressive poster but your business savy fucks you hard. Try being an aggressive self promoter, use others to help promote you.

I'm in the works of doing that. I also stopped helping artists unless I respect the art. Like Jiffy, I feel that he's on to something. He's definitely had the most growth out of anybody here.

You say you don't want opinions but what if your overall review is good on a top fucking Juggalo site? Would only help your marketing.

I don't see that helping. Unless multiple people are praising the shit out of it like with Post Mortem Boredom. Warlock got an official review that was positive about one of his songs and... well hasn't done much of anything since then.

Besides I am not going to outright flame you guys work.  If I feel it needs work I will tell you personally the specifics and your rating will reflect the specifics.

I know how it works, I know what you are going to do. Review me or interview or Revinterview me or what ever if you truly want to.

However I am not going to say on a public review that you suck and trash you.

You can.

The goal is to help you ultimately.  If you want marketing advice I got tons.  But we can talk about that shit here or PM. Ultimately get your face out there people connect with you more.  Every idiot and his momma have a YouTube and facebook but to get true fans you have to get out there.

But how do I know your advice is legit?

Thank you. I do think I might need to change up the formula, it's almost becoming predictable.

You don't know if my advice is legit.  However I have no horse in the race.  I will never make new music because honestly the industry is too cutthroat for me.  I hated it.

That alone makes my advice more valuable then someone who has never tried or someone who has a favorite artist or is an artist themselves trying to make it.

Also I am pretty in tune with the local DFW music scene and can easily advertise the review/interview to over 1k DFW Juggalos that have had to endure a lot worse shit then what you have.

You don't want to box yourself in that is fine.  But the fact is horrorcore fans are going to be your bread and butter with your style.
