I'd hate to have to disappoint you but I have a personal rule about giving my opinions to people I "know" about their "art", whatever that may be. I realize we don't know each other personally, but we've been around these threads here together for a while and while I didn't get the chance to Gather with you, I'd still regard you as someone that falls within the category of "withheld opinion".

I've been a DJ for nigh on two decades. I have SO many acquaintances that are either in a band or is a graphic artist or makes movies or makes jewelry or designs logos 'er some shit... and while many of them are like you and usually find my critical analysis something that will make a blood vessel pop in my brain one day... they seem to wanna hear my opinion on their own shit from time to time. Heh.

It's like a "moral" thing to me and only comes from a place of respect. In a fucked up kinda way, "I respect you enough to NOT give you an opinion at all". If whatever someone asks me about really jumps out at me, I'll say so. But if it doesn't, I won't. I haven't told you if I've even listened to your stuff yet... If I did and didn't say anything, would that mean what you want...? But what if I haven't yet? Am I on the block for my opinion; come what may?

I never want to be the one responsible for ever curbing someone else's PERSONAL artistic endeavors. Like, I never wanna be the voice in someone's head telling them, "Nah. Don't bother".

And let me just cut you fuckers off at the pass that might wanna lay into me on some Blahzay shit... That sentiment is for MY PEOPLE. The one's that ARE NOT getting paid based on whether or not *I* like something. That aren't having to chose between rent or electricity! Those that aren't trying to ADVERTISE their "art" to me by way of the decisions I make with my wallet....

So the question to YOU @lucem-ferre is, as I've said; you don't know if I've listened to your "album". I've stated that unless something really flips my wig, I'll probably not have much to say in the way of "constructive criticism". The question becomes: Do you want to know if I've listened and do you ACTUALLY care what my opinion is as it applies to your own sense of accomplishment?

My opinion is just like sex with a thick redhead with boobs bigger than mine... I gives it freely. When asked.
