Also, good salad makings and fresh fruit are now packed tight in my fridge. Don't think I'm going to be eating anything on a stick or anything with cheese for a minute.
Man, what you said! On the way home, my friend and I stopped at a Mr. Gatti's buffet with a salad bar and I made a huge salad for lunch, which was delicious. Then when I got home, I made a huge bowl of broccoli for dinner. Veggies are so good when all you've eaten for almost a week is fried bullshit on a stick.

For those of yall who weren’t there, here’s my tale: I came to the Gathering completely on my own for the second year in a row. I got there late on Weds. and then was running around from set to set on Thursday so I didn’t stop by the village until Friday night. I was definitely looking forward to it beforehand, but when I did come by I have to say it was way more that I expected. It was so, so fuckin fun to meet and kick it with some of the people that I’ve known from here over the years. And even the people I’ve only met more recently or didn’t even know at all, just the overall vibe was the shit. It’s hard to explain but I don’t think I’ve ever just walked into a group of people like that where everybody was just so chill in the same way. Some people talked a lot, other people didn’t talk much- some because they didn’t feel like it, some because they were high as motherfuckers. Some people knew each other well, others didn’t know each other at all. But everyone was 100% cool with whatever anyone else was doing, just being themselves. Just such a cool fuckin place to be. I hung out for a few hours, and then went off to go see some other people I knew, with plans to come back.
I did come back but not exactly under the circumstances I expected. At some point after I left the village, somebody dosed me with acid, completely without my knowledge. I still don’t know who it was or how it happened exactly, I thought it was the people I knew from Twitter at first but now I’m not sure. It was pretty fuckin scary right when it kicked in, since all I knew at first was that somebody had drugged me with something. I’ve been roofied once before and that was my first thought, it also occurred to me that it could have been literally any dose of any drug. I took off quick from where I was, and ended up taking a nasty fall on the path up to the main gate, face first into the rocks. I ended up in the medical tent, and they told me that I could stay for half an hour but then I had to leave or go to the ER. By that time I knew that it was acid, which I had done before but not since I was a teenager, and that I was probably OK. I also knew just from kicking it for a few hours that without a doubt that I could go back the village and y’all would keep me out of trouble. I was still a little bit shaken up from the initial shock and the fall, and under the circumstances it was such a fuckin relief to know I had a place to go.
Being able to go back to the village made getting dosed not even a real bad experience in the end, and actually kind of funny. @ocj_brendan and Glo even took me over to see Killjoy. Brendan snapped a glow stick collar on me so I wouldn’t get lost, and I believe also helpfully explained to a couple of ninjas that I stumbled smack the fuck into why they shouldn’t kick my ass, lol. I vaguely remember talking @spookythefungi 's ear off later on about god only knows what until about 7 AM, I probably said some crazy shit. By the time everybody turned in I had mostly come down from the acid. I wandered around the grounds for a bit and then back to my tent in the parking lot.
It took a long time before I could sleep and I didn’t wake up until about 5 PM Saturday feeling fried as shit and with a bad headache from the fall. I knew I was not going to be up for much at that point, and plus I could still make the drive home that night, so I took off. In the end, it definitely leaves a bad taste in my mouth that somebody fucking did that, and most of all I’m bummed that it robbed me of another day at the Gathering to hang out at the village, meet some of the people I didn’t get to meet and do a lot of the other shit I was looking forward to on Saturday. But, it could have would have been a lot worse without you all having my back, and getting dosed at the Gathering is already something I can laugh about. Thanks to everyone who was there for that, and I’ll see everyone next year if not before.

You usually dont remember what goes on when your peaking. You talked to me alot before and after killjoy club so im assuming your blending it all together, since u def remember killjoy at 4am. Glad you found sanctuary at the village cuz that is what it should be. I remember giving u the last of my ciggs when u asked for one. I also tried helping ganjagoblin out when shit was being difficult for him, like getting into his bookbag for a cigg or providing him wit a beverage.
Best thing about the village in my opinion is that any ninja can come and find refuge there when shit hits the fan for them

True that on all the luxuries we NEVER praise. The airport restroom in Columbus was a treat. I took three showers when I got home. I tried showering what I thought was dirt it was just my crispy even more brown skin. My wife beater tan made me think of Brazilian porno girls bra tan lines I had a laugh. I legitimately need that gathering to be around fir me to go to till everyone croaks. I'm super sad it was setting in at work last night the bizarro week I just had off the grid. Denver is a go for me if it actually goes there.
PS....I know it sounds mean spirited but I low key was enjoying the final day meltdowns couples and various groups were having bickering.
PPS....I legit didnt laugh at my fried out juggalos shits a sad sight keep it gateway yall (drink/buds or wax/or sobriety)

she isn't on the forums but these are paulina's thoughts on the gathering.
she also wanted to know if anybody else she didn't find was on facebook.. just pm me if you'd want to add either of us
so without further ado:
my mind is still processing what i experienced this week at the 17th annual gathering of the juggalos. i knew i would have a blast simply because it was a well deserved vacation but it more than exceeded my expectations.
while i consider myself an avid supporter of underground metal, life is too short to spend time judging and criticizing other peoples interests. it's been a year since i have really been introduced to the juggalo culture but i quickly realized the wicked shit, the grim shit, (clown paint vs corpse paint) it's all the same evil. surrounded by thousands of juggalos, i was taken aback at how respectful and solid these supposed "gang members" are. everyone was looking out for one another and it didn't matter if you knew each other for ten years or five minutes. the level of camaraderie is unparalleled to any other subculture i've ever experienced. when you compare this to the elitist popularity contest that is so often associated with metal culture you realize how trivial all the superiority really is.
live act highlights for me include GWAR (to see such a familiar band perform to a different crowd was bizarre- blothar definitely didn't want to be there,) wizard of the hood (j really is a creative genius and a master storyteller) tech n9ne, rittz, SLICK RICK, big hoodoo, dark lotus and killjoy club. the sights, the sounds, the smells- literally at every turn is another path and another adventure full of new people and stories.
i have never camped outside for more than a few days at a time, so this week was also a test of my endurance and tolerance. the hangover becomes null and void when you're in oppressive heat sweating constantly. in other news, i don't believe i've ever drank so much damn water in my life.
i am so grateful for our campsite hangs and the memories that came with them. everyone was so generous and quick witted, willing to share resources and look out for each other. the surplus of supplies was impressive. so glad to have forged new friendships and looking forward to building those friendships in the years to come.
if this post offends your elitist kvlt/tr00 metalhead standards, please delete me. i don't have room in my life for negativity. in the words of the great 2dope, FUCK THE FUCK OFF ✌
i'm going to keep doing me, living life to the fullest.
stay kvlt, stay wicked, keep shining. it's raining diamonds out there and you just have to step outside of your comfort zone once in a while to soak it all up.

Last night I made cheesy potato soup with some garlic bread... Bomb shit y'all.
Few nights ago we all went out to Texas roadhouse for my homie cheese's birthday. I had these pork chops with some GOOD ASS peppercorn dipping sauce...
Tonight... Leftovers
P.s.
We drove through white castle on the way home... Not anywhere as good as I'd anticipated.

Usually I cook nearly every day, but I've come to the realization that attempting to pack for an out-of-state move in less than a week (specifically, the week after the gathering) is fucking absurd, so I haven't cooked anything since like Tuesday to try to save time and have been living off of veggie trays and whatever my family brings me lol
I get so homesick for the gathering every year, but usually there's a concert in October to look forward to (either hallowicked or whatever tour is coming to my town). Idk if I'm going to one this fall so I'm like extra sad this year...but I'm hopefully going to Juggalo Day so that will be dope
edit: and also @deathmetaljuggalo it's awesome that you cook for your girl/ you guys cook together that's frickin adorable
