My take on the whole gender issue seems bigoted to the regressive left. I call it my take but it is really only what I have learned from talking to people who are classified as trans. I like what they have to say about it all. I have shown Rob’s posts to several of my friends at work who don’t fit within the cis gender classification. They strongly disagree with a lot of what Rob says. These people are strong and know who they are and dislike what they call cultivated weakness that is enabled by the activism crowd. I work with very scientific and technical people. People who embrace being abnormal. And yes, they consider themselves abnormal. They fall outside of the statistical norm, hence the correctly used term – abnormal. They wear that like a badge of uniqueness. And statistical norm and what is a deviation from norm is not some arbitrary line that changes depending on the culture, mood, or situation. It is a strict statistical definition with very precise equations that distinguishes normal and abnormal. It has to do with where the mathematical points of inflection occur in a statistical representation of an aspect.
These coworkers view strength in being outside the norm. They don’t let themselves have weaknesses that are “triggered” by someone using an incorrect pronoun. And, like me, they view everyone as equal and don’t treat people differently based on something as superficial as gender or race. Anyone who asks for or gives special treatment to a group is prejudice.
But all this PC stuff is just a phase. It happens periodically. This is the third wave of it in my lifetime. And it always eventually dies of it’s own absurdity. Not that the initial purpose of it is absurd. It definitely starts with a very great and noble purpose and it is usually a societal response mechanism to injustice and intolerance. There is nothing better than being against intolerance and injustice. The issue is that it gets taken way to far and becomes itself unjust and intolerant. That is why the current phase of PC will die again.
I am not completely happy to see it die. I like what it stood for in it’s initial inception. It just has gone to the point of being detrimental.

Yes, I understand @robtidwell . The term regressive left is a term that is more of an attack than a good descriptive term. It is a term that I should endeavor to replace in my vocabulary.
Like I said, the ideas I relay were not born in me. Since I do not fit within the trans or gay descriptions, I take my ideas of the subject from those who do call themselves that. More than likely the people I work with do not represent the LGBTQ+ population at large. I work in a tech bubble where the people are more aligned with math and science than the social arts.

The cultivated weakness thing, again, is just how these friends have described it to me. I see what they are saying. They are happy and strong people who don’t let hurtful words have any effect on them. I like that and I emulate that aspect of their personality.

Yes. This is why I think @robtidwell and I are really on the same page. We both work towards mitigating intolerance, but we approach it in different ways.

Sperm is created in the testes. It’s been a while since I’ve seen wentworth but I think the woman in that has a penis. She looks so masculine because her body is still producing testosterone (also in the testes) and isn’t on HRT. Compared to Laverne Cox in Orange is the New Black who has no testes, and is on HRT, and appears more feminine (to the point of having to cast her twin brother to play her as she begins transitioning).
The only way a trans woman can produce a child is if she impregnates someone before transitioning or if she saves her sperm like in a sperm bank etc, or if they have an identical twin the twin can provide the sperm and the offspring will be genetically no different than if it was their own child.
