i gotta say, if i was four minutes from my destination, my pride alone couldnt allow me to buy a ride.  

but figure on nuff ninjas bein up in that mug.  doubt it would take much in the way of hustle.

and thats only worst-case.  

the flh village is what we called the mob of forum heads that all camped more or less in the same spot.  its convenient, cuz everybody supports everybody else, covers for shortcomings, helps with shlepping all the gear around, et cetera and on and on.  

theres also the meetup massacres.  plans for which are probably gonna have to get cookin kinda soonish.  

tip:  get with your road dogs as soon as possible.  if you have no road dogs, make some, preferably ahead of time.  in the meantime, try not to trust people until you have a good reason to.  

better tip:  a great big fat bag of brand new extra fluffy socks.  change them shits out at least once a day.  twice is better.  

one of these years, somebody should go through the ten or twelve similar gathering prep threads, and consolidate em down to about three paragraphs.  

not me, id expect.  but somebody.  

tip:  bring fuckin water.  or acquire it after arrival, but have mad water at all times.  

wonder how many goofuses are thinkin, 'why bring water to a water park?'  

extra tip:  shoes you can walk in.  a lot.  expect much walking.  

bonus tip:  bring trash bags.  every time you generate a piece of trash, place it inside of a trash bag.  

or in a trash can.  with a trash bag in it.  

at the least, make it a point to police up your camp right before you crash, or right after you get up.  youll be happier.
