With those types of things(regionally named foods): philly cheese steaks, buffalo wings, etc. There is no winning arguments on what recipe or style is better. Even in the cities after which they were named, the recipes vary and more than one place claims to have the original. Since it deals with taste, a subjective opinion that differs from person to person based on too many factors from upbringing to body chemistry to mental attitude about a particular aspect of the food, no one can really claim the best tasting of anything except to themselves.
With that said, my favorite way of making them is with the most tender meat possible. I use fillet mignon pounded flat with a mallet meat tenderizer and cut into small strips. I am not particular on the bread. Most use Amoroso or Vilotti-Pisanelli rolls but according to some accounts of the origin of the philly cheese steaks, they were originally on hotdog buns since Pat and Harry Olivieri (one of the many claiming the original sandwich) were hotdog vendors and tried putting something new in the hotdog buns. For onions I prefer sweet onions like Vidali or Texas 1015’s. For cheese it’s provolone. I am not a fan of the cheese whiz thing.
Anyway, that’s my opinion on the perfect cheese steak for me.

I don’t hate everything Canadian, Poutine sucks no matter what country wants to claim it. I love french fries, ketchup is great on them, sometimes maybe dip it in some BBQ sauce. Who the fuck wants to eat cheese curds? Fuckin’ cheese curds, fuckin’ disgusting. Throw some gravy on it, and now it’s not just gross, it’s soggy too.
Smack needs to realize that there’s a reason why you can’t hardly find poutine here in the States, nobody likes that shit. Americans don’t play that. He knows we hate it, knows that nowhere carries it, and STILL suggests they carry it at every event there’s food. Way to go smackey, nothing at all retarded about that.

Look at this disgusting shit!! Yuck!!! It’s all like, dude, who the fuck puked on my french fries? Even without the cheese curds, who wants soggy fries? Leave it to Canadians man, I’ll tell ya.
Smack calls me fat, and he’s the only one posting food on any of these forums. He has many many pictures of poutine, the dude has got some serious problems.

People get shut down for selling food without a vendor licenses at GOTJ. It’s happened in the past, it’ll probably happen this time too. You can give it away but you cannot sell it. I would not buy food from a non-vendor there. And there are too many ninjas giving away food for the price of a story at the most.

Hahahaha, delusions of smackey. Dude, never in my entire life have I seen anyone here in Boston, or anywhere in Massachusetts, eating that soggy disgusting crap. As for that list, how old is that? At least you didn’t use wikipedia this time, but come on. 2 of those places are out of business (I’m sure having poutine on the menu didn’t help), and as for the Beehive and the Sandwich Bar, I can personally tell you, since I actually go to both of those places and don’t rely on the internet to tell me what’s what, that poutine isn’t on the menu anymore. Probably (and I’m only guessing here) because nobody ordered that French puked upon soggy crap. You’re fuckin’ delusional thinkin’ anyone here in Boston, or anywhere in Massachuseets, is eating any of your crap. We don’t even use your maple syrup, we get the real shit from Vermont.
As for calling my hometown shitty, that’s one of the only things you’ve ever been right about. It doesn’t bother me though, unlike you I’m not easily offended about comments made about the place that I had no choice over being born in. I live here pal, trust me, I know a lot more things that suck around here than you and your internet knowledge can pick up. So go ahead, tell me Boston sucks. What knowledge are you going to blow me away with next, that water’s wet?

How you gonna tell me about where I live? That’s like me informing you about your frozen shithole. And I don’t frequent either place on the regular, but I have been there. And neither place has poutine. Dry your tears, deal with it. Why it’s so important to you that they have poutine is anybody’s guess, and if they did I would tell you, but they don’t. Get over it, nobody down here wants soggy fries. You actually spend your time googling and reading reviews about the food that you won’t ever be there eating? And this is how you conduct your life?
