the drug bridge is stupid as is anyone who is willing to buy random drugs from a random person you don’t know just because they’re “family” and u wanna get high…when I went a few years ago I brought my own weed and only thing I bought there was beer…people tried selling me shit every time I crossed the bridge and I’d just ignore them lol…to be fair though didn’t someone get stabbed last year?…I know a kid ended up drowning in the river the year I went (2011)…don’t think the event will be shut down but there will definitely be cops in there for the rest of the event this year I suspect…damn shame

People die at concerts every year. Shit a kid dies in a SMASHING PUMPKINS mosh pit. Hippie love rainbow fests, David Allen Coe redneck liquor brigades, and underground hip hop festivals alike. When lots of people are thrown together, something is bound to happen. All we can do is pour one out for the foolish or unfortunate and pray for their families and move on. I also despise junkies prj but the circumstances aren’t fully known now. 

I know the tendency is to keep spirits high, but I do think those behind the event should put a small, simple, respectful memoriam of those lost at the GOTJs. Nothing glaring; but available for those who go to check out and pay respects, or maybe to learn a bit about themselves and their own choices.

Its like none of these ninjas listened to TMDP skits lol

they were probably the same ones who thought TMDP was a sellout/mainstream album and didn’t listen at all lol keepin it real ya know…in all seriousness though it is tragic…there’s always the temptation to just go all out at events like these but the results are usually not too good (my friend drank way too much the first day…before we had even gotten past the entrance and I ended up having to watch him to make sure he didn’t pass out or walk off and end up in the river or wherever)

As a former fan…I don’t condone any of the many behaviors that ICP rap about, however, I have followed the band in my life, and know that the main members of the band have expressed their apologies, and have also made public statements that they are not looking for people to do these actions that are said done in the “dark carnival’s” name. I imagine, with the guys getting older, wiser, and sober (er) that they are concerned for their fan base as well. Being a juggalo or jugglatte is not about getting messed up, and causing trouble, but being entertained at some silly, crazy, shock value beats… That’s it. Oh yeah, lovin’ some fat chics and faygo… life is good! (btw I am a large woman, so no disrespect, just being funny!)

We’ve lost touch what the dark carnival is all about, fat chicks and faygo.

Having been there in ten years but if I went to GOTJ 2014 the only drugs I’d want are:

Beer

Energy drinks

Perhaps a cigar or two (I don’t smoke cigs)

Maybe MAYBE some of my honegrown fungi 

Molly from a trusted dealer.

Then again I don’t NEED any of that. 2001 I didn’t do any drug or alcohol. 2000 a blunt st the hotel after the first day. Some DXM at 2002, some beer n whiskey at 2003 and aittle weed n beer at 2004.

What’s with this influx of opiates and WAAAACK synthetics??
