I was in high school when I first heard Royal Highness, my homie gave me the album to listen to, soon after that I saw the bump video and me and my homies were smokin' Hella fuckin' weed all day every day anyway and we would actually call up the box and request Bump hella on the Box, that was a fun video channel, I miss it. Same time I got the first Hidden Stash album and that was also a Dope fuckin' album. Soon that High Society album came out and of course we bumped the fuck out of that album, shit was Dope as Fuck, they got that Wicket Clowns song with I.C.P., fuck, that album was rad!!

Anyway, we had hella good times goin' to their shows, Rolling Stoned was a fucking amazing album, so many good times bumpin' that shit, I could write a book about the shit I did during that KMK era for real. but let's time travel and fast forward a little bit... everything was all good for years as far as my life was concerned but this isn't about me this is about the kottonmouth kings, so when Long Live the Kings came out my mind was kind of blown that they invited dirtball into the group, I was Like Okay, it's cool, personally I would of preferred Big B or even better Dog-Boy to get into the group but whatever, so after that album Pakelika either quit or as speculation would have it got kicked out... Soon, Pakelika died, may he Rest in Peace...

I think we all kind of know what happened next, maybe a couple of records dropped, Koast II Koast, Cloud 9, sunrise sessions, Mile High, that weird "free the kings" little movement they had going on, haha, then Johnny Richter quit... that hit me like a brick, 'cause I'm a hardcore kottonmouth fan, but KMK put out that EP buddah shack and Johnny Richter released "FreeKing Out" which was Dope, I thought Richter killed that shit, that Solo EP is Fuckin' Fresh, I think it was better than Buddah Shack, but anyway...

I've seen Kottonmouth Kings at least 3 or 4 times recently, dudes can definitely still rock a show, ... And yeah it Sucks that Johnny Richter decided to quit, and it sucks D.J. Bobby-B decided to quit, dude I love Bobby-B's albums, they're Dope as Fuck and his production work is awesome, just listen to "hooligan" by Big B, anyway... I've heard the first few songs from Krown Power and I'm really diggin' 'em. "Ganja Glow" is my jam, that song gets stuck in my head, and I feel lucky 'cause I got to see Marlon Asher and KMK at the blaze 'N' glory festival, so it was just Nice man... Marlon Asher is dope, I've been listening to reggae for just as long as I've been listening to Hip Hop and Punk so it's fresh to get that reggae vibe when bumpin' some new KMK, and their new song "our city" actually really blew my expectations away, that song is Dope as Fuck, I'm really diggin' it, everybody's lyrics sound awesome, I don't give a fuck what anyone says,... Brad "daddy" X is a muthafuckin O.G. so it's always cool to listen to new flows from X, back in the day I got those Humble Gods albums and I even have the old school Doggy Style records on vinyl (for those that don't know, X and Lou Dog had an old school so cal punk rock band called Doggy Style that was fuckin' Sick), Anyway I just bumped the newest song "pump up da bass" and was jammin', Marlon Asher again adds to the freshness...

here's my two cents on all the recent drama though... just my opinion but I think it all started when Dirtball joined, that's when Pakelika quit, that's when Johnny Richter quit, then DIRTBALL and DADDY-X released that song "robbery" dissing kevin zinger... man I don't know I like Dirtball, I think he's a dope M.C., but I just don't think he fits in with Kottonmouth Kings, like actually in the group, he's Dope as a solo artist, but Kottonmouth Kings really should of got Saint Dog back in the group instead of Dirtball, Saint Dog was hella dope!!!, everybody that I know that listens to Kottonmouth Kings loves Saint Dog, (his solo albums are awesome too!), anyway yeah, What the Fuck Dirtball!?!? haha, I'm just joking and speakin' as a fan, it seems like Dirtball created this riff between everybody ever since he joined kottonmouth. With that being said, I'm actually really diggin' the Krown Power songs, but those last few albums with Dirtball just seemed like Kottonmouth Kings songs with Dirtball heavily feautured on them, but fuck it, I can also understand artists trying to expand their sound and change, there's nothing wrong with that, So I still hella love Kottonmouth Kings, shit, I started smoking weed when I was 13 years old and have been deeply/heavily involved in the cannabis scene ever since, that's why I love Kottonmouth Kings, they rap about Cannabis, they've been rappin' about ganja for years and it's been a soundtrack to my life, their music reflects my lifestyle, haha, for real though... Anyway

I think Dog Boy should become an official member of the Kottonmouth Kings; and, I'm digging Johnny Richter's solo shit, but I really Hope he can reunite with the group soon, 'cause Kottonmouth Kings do sound a lot different with out Richter, although I do think since Richter left Dirtball has really stepped up his rap game and he keeps on sounding better with KMK the more songs he does with KMK, and I know D.J. bobby-B is going to continue to rock shows and have success 'cause that dude is one of the sickest, freshest, dopest D.J.'s I've heard, dude isn't gonna be hurtin' and I think eventually him and Richter will reunite with X, Loc, and Dirt...

so basically I can't wait to get that Krown Power album, I know there's a lot of songs featuring Marlon Asher so that's dope I've been smoking a lot of trees lately bumpin' Marlon Asher, his "ganja farmer" song is my jam!

I know I haven't posted on this message board in a while but I just wanna say Much Clown Love to all the Los & Lettes. PEACE!

@spange  Fresh to see there are still some legit Krowners out there!weed

I thought I was getting tired of Kottonmouth Kings, but I still bump their cds on the regular.

They put out a lot of timeless soundtracks for blaze sessions.....rasta_gif

I agree.  I have not been into KMK for years now and its all because its all the same content in their music.  Now, I do wish Daddy X would make another Humble Gods album that captures the same energy as their first one did back in the day....heck, there is even an ICP mix of a Humble God track and its good as well, but besides that - the whole album is great if you ask me.  Their cover of the Tom Petty song - American Girl is good as well

I like their lighter shit.  Positive Vibes, New Destination, Tangerine Sky, Rest of my Life.  That's about it.  Their live show was pretty dope.

As for being "tired of KMK."  Yeah, I think even all the OG members of the group are tired of KMK.

Ya I was always a fan of their lighter, layed back, stuff as well.

Not everyone's cup of tea and cool to see Daddy X do this project along with a couple other KMK guys, but one group that is worse than this is Mindless Self Indulgence.  Saw them on a ICP tour back in the day, as well as, Biohazard being there.  MSI - horrible live performance and were booed as well.  But then again, that could be due to the lead singer mooning the crowd and throwing his cd's at everyone....but at least Biohazard was alright

not that this has much to do with kmk [who, as it happens, i am quite tired of]...  but yeah.  jeckel brothers tour.

outside of karaoke night, or the pts stage, ive never seen a lamer, more stupidly irritating performance than msi.

I could not agree with you more about MSL.  For KMK, YES!!!!  We all know you love to get high guys.  I mean, how many times can it be said.  I think they have run out of ways in saying yet, so yeah....but, when I saw them live on an ICP tour with Bone Thugs n Harmony, they sure got the crowd moving in the pit a bit

Got tired of them after listening to them for about one year or more. About as far as Koast II Koast is alright but seriously got boring after that. The first few albums are alot better and different than what KMK became in mid 2000's

First, yeah, fuck MSI. There's a few friends of mine that really like them so I've been exposed to a lot of their shit and I just don't get it. There's a difference between a band doing a lot of different styles of music and a band that doesn't know what their style is. MSI falls into the latter category.

Second, I don't even mind that KMK talk about weed all.the.fucking.time. You can do nothing but stoner shit and still be creative. KMK just keep repeating the same song over and over and over. When Dirtball became a member I thought he would bring a creative spark to them but naw. All that's changed is that they're doing the same song over and over again but now there's a chopper verse.
