I didn't really bump long live the kings, Mile High was there best shit since Cloud nine and that album was ight, but Cmon who the fuck cant rock with royal highness that is one of the best albums ever... But yeah every single song about bud gets old so I feel ya on that though, while we are here tech needs the stop the "CHA" he does all the fuckin time it was fresh in the first two songs but now it is beyond old, it would be annoying if icp had "Whoop" at the end of every bar they did

I wasnt all that impressed with Sunrise Sessions, but love the Greatest Highs and Rollin Stoned albums. Other than that, I havent heard much else from KMK.

No Richter, No Bueno

Dirtball is better solo. he don't bring that KMK vibe.  I really dig Kingspade, too bad that wont ever happen again.

the last best front to back album was Cloud 9, and that's 80% of it. and Mile High.

I'll fuck you till you love me, Faggot!

I remember the one time I saw them perform without Pakelika. Haven't watched them live sense. Slept through their set at GOTJ.

I never really listened to all of KMK's albums, or got really into their shit (there's just so many fucking rappers to listen to, I'm sure I'll get to KMK soon).

But pretty much, the only album I listened to all the way through was Sunrise Sessions, which I did like. I know some of Royal Highness; Dogs Life, Suburban Life, Bump, and whatnot.

And, I got the Hidden Stash 3.

I'm definitely not into KMK anymore. I agree last good album was Cloud 9. @jiffylong if you're looking for a solid record front to back to start with from KMK, look up High Society.weed_gif

About a month or so ago I attempted to listen to them again after not doing so for quite some time and I just couldn't do it, the music itself is sometimes fine but their lyrics are just corny and I kind of can't believe I was ever really into them. Especially since I've never been a weed guy so I guess it never made a lot of sense for me to be into them anyways.

Side note: I always thought J Ric was the best one of the group so him being gone certainly doesn't help their case.

I saw a live set of theirs on DVD, then picked up an album, gave it a few spins & came to this exact conclusion.

I'll agree with most here and say Cloud 9 was their last decent effort. They started to lose me at No. 7, Kottonmouth Kings or whatever you want to call it though... It was too straight hip hop for them which isn't their strong suit, at least in my opinion. I like them when its goes from punk rock and transitions into hip hop or even their more chill jams, those were always my favorites.

i always hated their punk rock shit.  punk rockers do it a hell of a lot better, and i dont listen to that shit, either.

if i took the best of royal highness and high society together, it would make a killer album.  then, take the best of everything else, it would be a fairly good, maybe killer album.

wasnt exactly a huge fan of theirs at any time, really.  but there did come a point when i decided i had been giving them too much credit.  seein their live show without pakelika didnt help.

  awfully paranoid, arent you?

I'm not really "sick of" KMK as a GROUP so much as the subject matter.

Like we're all saying, how many damn songs can you make about smoking weed?! I *get it*. You like weed. I do too.

Aaannd thennnn....?

talking about getting high has become the cool thing to do, i can't hang out with any one and listen to their choice of "mainstream" music without hearing a song or two about it. and that's something that has added to me not being able to listen to them any more. it's not edgy any more it's just what everybody dose. hell I've even heard a few country songs where they talk about getting high, i'm tired of the subject

i wish they would just legalize already so everyone would drop it ya know. i don't smoke and it being legal isn't gonna make me start up again. i just want the bad music to stop

Lol, I feel like such a weirdo now for being stoked that it's just Dirtball, D-Loc and Daddy X now.

Reason: when it comes to music, the SOUND means more to me than the lyrics. That's just me, the vibes (most of the time I don't even listen to the lyrics). So, with that in mind, I like vocals based on the way they SOUND (the timbre of the vocalist's voice) - which brings me to this:

SD from the first album just didn't really get stuck in my head, same with Richter (please don't kill me) but I didn't really like the sound of their voices.

Dirtball, Daddy X and D-Loc on the other hand, for some reason I just really like the way their voices sound. Funny enough a few years ago I was thinking "man, I really wish I could only listen to those three in KMK songs" and now it's happening... xD

I spend too much time on the Internet and make music sometimes. http://www.soundcloud.com/theresolution5
