The last tech show i went to in november had literally 2 juggalos, and i was one of them.

It twas a bunch of preppy bitch kids under the age of 21. They actually thought mgk is from and lives in cleveland and might do a surprise set.  It was sad, there wasnt even a mosh pit. The whole venue used to be a mosh pit at tech shows, fuck them damn millenials

It was basically a sold out show, just not a fun concert. They might as well gave everyone a chair to sit on

lemme put it this way:  water and sewage treatment affect your life about twenty times as much as this shit ever could.  how involved are you?  how much do you have to know about their internal relationships at the office?

right.  but if they were famous, oh, well, thats different.  now they owe.

[addendum]

granted, if you live in flint, whatever.  but i coulda picked damn near any business in damn near any industry.

that didnt involve famous people and their fans.

so all it is, is ‘yeah, but theyre famous.  and im a fan.  thats why this is my business.’

I’d say that’s more a question of how much you value your basic necessities over the people who make the music you enjoy. Be careful with that one, ’cause it can get dicey depending on the person. Regardless, it’s a good analogy. It could serve to capture the essence of internet discourse as whole I think.

That said, you still need to put the turd in the bowl and depress the lever to send it on its way. You are still involved, if only at the base level. That said, if my local utilities reached out to me with a newsletter or a podcast with information about their inner workings, would I check it out? Absolutely. I’ve never been a fan of willful ignorance, though I concede it might not hold the same fascination.

This has less to do with being famous and more to do with the fact that the most prominent facets of the Juggalo world are the business and the subculture. These two things and their relationship to one another are inherently fascinating. Keep in mind that a lot of what is discussed around here pertains to freely submitted and unsolicited public information. As a wise man once said, we didn’t start the fire.

As for my own ideas, they’re just that. Ideas. To be agreed upon or disagreed upon by my peers. I don’t believe with any sincerity that Psy or any other entity is beholden to them or otherwise owes me anything. I simply postulate on music rosters the way some people would NFL Teams. Nothing wrong there.

Psy and MNE aren’t the only ones with good rosters, afterall. LSP and Sicfux could be serious contenders too. But that’s the thing about rivalries: We like them best between two titans.

King Kong v. Godzilla

Freddy v. Jason

Pepsi v. Coke

That in itself is worthy of discussion. The finer points of it all are way more intricate and less superficially Perez Hilton. At the end of the day, yes, it is just yak, but this is the place for the yak. The best you can hope for is to be entertained, because that’s the whole point.
