Yea man, we don’t care who it is. U didn’t know?

I just feel (generally speaking) that people are looking for any reason these days to hate on Psychopathic (not you in particular so don’t get it twisted lol) while giving MNE a pass…my only point is don’t judge him until you’ve heard what he does with Psychopathic…they’ve turned bigger shits into gold before IMO and they tend to influence the music in a certain way…in other words I don’t think we’ll be hearing a bunch of poppy autotune stuff from him and it’ll be geared more towards the darker/trap sound as that would seem like a better fit for the label at this point (unless they’re tryna compete with Strange and Darrein Saffron lmao)

when I first heard that Gossip shit I was pretty bummed too lol I dug through quite a bit of their discography today…some of it is the autotune stuff which I couldn’t really get down with but the majority of what I heard outside of that wasn’t bad tbh…if they utilize him correctly I think they’ll put together a surprisingly dope album with him but considering it’s Psychopathic they could always mess it up too…I do think he looks a lil too much like Lyte but maybe they’ll form a group together…their rapping styles would go well together I think…I’m wondering what happened to the other Swag Toof member lol I don’t follow this group at all so I really have no clue if they just split or if he’s just doing a temporary solo thing with them while also keeping the group going (they just dropped an album this year after a bunch of mixtapes and EP’s)

the whole “don’t judge him by his past music” thing is whack. His job is to impress us. If he hasn’t impressed us yet, that’s his fault not ours.

this doesn’t mean we refuse to be impressed in the future. He’s gotta bring it. He’s gotta swing for the fences.

I chose my words wrong…by all means judge the music he’s released so far…I guess I was trying to say don’t necessarily expect the music he’s released so far to be the same kinda shit he brings to Psychopathic

All I know is that I’m turning 40 this year and I have absolutely NO IDEA why kids 14-22 listen to the shit they do. I couldn’t pick the next big thing if you gave me 20 tries. Nothing new is even remotely pleasing to my ears. So if J is trying to keep the label modern and not hitting the mark, I completely understand

After the solar eclipse, Pluto will soon line up with YOUR anus, and all the kids will start playing That Alien Shit. When we will be pining for good music, like Insane Clown Posse.

So I wanted to talk about this very topic with you guys. With the recent signing of ouija macc (a decently known trap artist) and young lyte who has a typical chopper flow. I was wondering, do you agree with the direction they’re heading? I feel like they’re trying to relate to a demographic that isn’t juggalos at this point. There are so many artists that Juggalos love they would rather see on psychopathic. Me dieabolik the monster, grewsum, madd maxx and A.X.E. I can name so many more juggalos would have a better time relating to and enjoying the music. Just wanted to see if you guy’s like the new label and what it’s slowly becoming. I just don’t get why they won’t sign artists Juggalos would love instead of having to push people on us and already have a decently established juggalo fan base.

It seems Psy is continuing to expand as always, but they are signing acts based on different criteria now. Not sure what that criteria is, but likely includes existing fan base, sales, and touring numbers. Previously it seemed that acts were signed based on how well they fit into Psy musically.

A difference which is apparent between Psy of today and Psy of 2007 is that Psy used to include all of its groups in numerous projects – the entire label was in supergroups like DL, Psy Rydas, SV, HOK, Drive-By, etc. It seemed like every album was collaborative in some way, and that is not the case anymore.

MNE is similar now to what Psy was previously, they have almost the entire roster that was Psy, and can make the collaborative music that seemed to be the key to Psy’s success.

I don’t much care for the current state of Psy as 1- I have no idea who anyone on the label is at this point and 2- Various things happened leading to the end of the supergroups which may have been the key to holding everything together and was a major draw for Psy. Its all subjective but I can’t get into any of the new groups in the way I got into Twiztid or others.

PSY is now what it was from 1991-1996…..a label for ICP to release albums on and stuff no one really cares about (Then: Project Born……now Big HooDoo, Lyte, etc.).

It being a family of artists that all represented one unified subculture is done. Psychopathic used to be truly magical, that shit is gone for good now.

The healthiest Psychopathic ever was as a true “family of artists” was Psychopathics from Outerspace Part 2.

From now on it’ll just be ICP and a rotating cast of artists Juggalos don’t really care about. Blahzay, DJ Clay, Big Hoodoo, Lyte, Cold 187um, DJ Paul…

Psychopathic has been on a HUGE downward spiral for decades now…and somehow they continue to gain fans, sell albums+merch, and make millions

It makes no sense!

Juggalos listen to ICP, Slipknot, $uicideboy$, Marilyn Manson, fucking Riff Raff. There’s no one Juggalo demographic. Look at the diversity in the gathering line-ups. They’re not going for an un-Juggalo sound, if anything Psychopathic is going for a newer sound.
