Words of wisdom make Rappers that have style but lack in other departments more prominent in the game too. These are the differences between rap and hip hop

battle rapping is based solely off of lyricism. How could you not see the connection?

well you said

I can't enjoyably listen to it unless they know what music is.

I guess I could have said I can appreciate a good battle lyricist, but when I hear their songs I can't help but think they FUCKING SUCK

esham was the shit and spit the TRUTH about violent J. Very big props to him for that.

In my opinion tho that fucker needs rehab rather than retirement last time I saw him he looked like you just did 3 80s of oxys his ass was nodding out of control.

its a sad day. but esham has been goin downhill for along time. he had some good peaks, but they were never on a worldwide level.

i wish he had been happy with bein a background player on the hatchet and just put out albums here. I wanted to see him on psychopathic just being an engineer and producer after rap retirenement. cuz he can still produce, give people ideas. i think hes just run outta juice on the whole esham character.

but now esham is just gonna be fading off and we'll never hear from him again. really sucks. he was shinning in 2003 during the shangri la era.....so sad....

I've never been into Esham, but I respect the fact that he's an influential figure in music. That's about all I have to say about it... Mostly that I don't care.

Esham getting way more cracked out I can agree with, but his music slipping I don't see. This song was obviously some drug fueled randomness, but I still can't wait for this album.

DMT was straight fire all the way through, IMO. Shits on most material coming off PSY lately.

On the topic of Blaze not writing his own shit, does anyone really care? He's still the shit (with Twiztid writing for him at least)

Yea. Most people don't realize that. I think icp albums are mostly written by J. But I think for rydas and lotus shaggy does write his own shit. Cause it's like night and day between the two.

I didnt even buy DMT Sessions. i like listening to the album every now and then on youtube, but the album itself is not worth buying to me. the mixing is horrible, the raps dont flow with the beat, its just not worth my money- and im a HUGE esham fan.

i will, however, be purchasing Venus Flytrap when it comes out

Wow Ypsi that's the first time ive ever heard anyone say that about DMT. I thought the rhyming flowed flawlessly with the beats. I've said it before though, it's def an album that has to be listened to the whole way through. Not just individual tracks.

I only liked one H.O.K. album: Homebound.

I honestly don't know how somebody could stand horrible mixing and mastering, yet at the same time DMT wasn't really that bad on the mixing and mastering.

You really don't mind if your music sounds too flat or if it sounds like cshsssshpshsshsshfrlcklskldshsshshsshss?
