So truth is you don't actually hate his music you just hate him as a person?

Pretty much. But I grew past his music. Found better, funnier & stronger music than that.

Because Psy still has funny songs. Other than that I grew up around Psy. But go through the underground section. Almost every artist I posted has traces of a pillar of Hip-Hop in them. From Q-Unique who is affiliated with The Rocksteady Breakdance group. To DJing/Producing like El-P. A graffiti artist/rapper is kinda hard to find but I wanna say Rakim. But all are rhymers. But that doesn't entitle me to have to respect a person who does any of that. I have no respect for escam he's a rapper but he's a disrespectful little punk. Simple as that Hip-Hop is a culture but doesn't mean I need to respect everyone who is part of the culture.

i never said you had to respect them was just curious why you havent stopped fuckin with psy

me personally i have respect for ALL of the legends, pioneers, vets whatever you wanna call em/it cuz i know i wouldnt be here if it wasnt for them laying & building the foundation.. i also feel that anyone who takes hip hop seriously should as well but hey thats my own personal beliefs.. i mean you had a personal unfriendly encounter with esham so i can see where that animosity comes from & i understand it even tho i feel there should still be a layer of respect there even if its very thin regardless tho theres really no reason to hate on other vets who youve never met & im not sayin you do or dont im just statin my opinion on the matter. so yeah i agree i dont respect everyone who's down with this culture i only respect the OGs, cats ive done business with, & cats i think are dope

I'm a fan of Esham but he been acting like a dusthead for years now

New song is dope but i agree with mentalcase. I'll always bump the classics but I could see him starting to lose his shit after http://www.com came out. When he signed to Psychopathic I thought that was the greatest news I'd heard in a while and he seemed like he was getting himself back to together. Then he became even more insane than he'd ever been. I thought I was fucked up but he took it to a whole new level.

Maybe that beating he took at the Warped tour by d12's security fucked his head up more. I mean shit, it was like 30 fucking people smashing his head in.

whoa aside from twiztid no one on psy is as good as esham???!????! that is the most ridiculous statement ive heard on this entire forum. esham's music is nowhere near icp's these days. they put a lot more into it. esham prolly put 15 mins into that song. fuckin bullshit. i usta love esham. i still wanna collect his discography because he does have a ton of great records, including natas. but he is nowhere near psychopathics level. abk and blaze are better than esham...

I was trying to convince the guy on youtube to chill and get help because he was really ruining any sorta respectable image he had left...I'm a big fan of his old stuff and he even had some alright stuff on DMT Sessions but his personality, attitude, and everything else just fucks it up in the end...he needs to get his shit right and maybe he'll come back and put out a great record idk but I dont wanna hear any more half assed, drugged out sounding records honestly

It's almost like he turned into everything that he said was weak minded on his old shit. I like a lot of his new stuff but like you said, it's his personality that's fucked up. He changed big time. He was always changing in the past but still going forward. He's doing shit in reverse now.

I think he said "who aside from twiztid?"

That would be acknowledging  Twiztid is on the same level as Esham.

I figured that much. You seem to know what good lyrical skill contains. I do too, but I can't enjoyably listen to it unless they know what music is.

They know what good music is and have mega character. I don't give a fuck if you can battle rap so and so, but can't figure out how to make a great album. Artists over battle rappers anytime. I do appreciate the battle rap scene and support it more than you probably do....but there's a big difference between the two.

My favorite rappers aren't the best lyricists, they're storytellers with a bunch of other gifts they've been blessed with in the hip hop world. If you can combine both worlds you'll probably succeed. Like Nas recognized in the early 90's.

battle rapping is based solely off of lyricism. How could you not see the connection?
