For the record – I have nothing but love for Otis aka Young Wicked. I think he’s an extremely talented producer, and vocal talent seriously! But yes, I would love to do an ENTIRE album of music for ICP! If the fans are loud enough, it could honestly happen.. :)

I mean, you’ve already proven yourself to be a talented and varied producer, capable of making good beats that match the concept of whatever the music is. On The Mud, Water, Air and Blood, Medicine Bag, and TML your tracks were not only dope but they really fit in with the concepts/themes/gimmicks. They each create their own atmosphere and different feeling. –Get Clowned was an instant classic to me.

We all pretty much know Mike E Clark has been like the 3rd member of ICP for the longest time, but did anyone else feel like some of the newest beats from BPB/TMDP we’re kind of..meh? I mean, better than anything I could ever make, but compared to the first 6 they’re kind of underwhelming. Basically, I am down for Mike Clark to take a break from ICP for a bit, give some other producers some time to shine. Otis has had the opportunity to shine, how about Kuma now, I know that shit would be dope.
So yeah, someone start a petition.

dont agree with much of this. thought death pop had great beats. maybe some of the extra shit was kinda ‘meh’… but not all, and definitely not the main lp.

I really like this fucken cd!
I love the fucken skits. It reminds me of robbin the hood by sublime. Im sure im not always going to play them but seriously i love this type of shit i just always play them all the way thru. I dunno something about it make my imagination run wild. And when i came home from tbe gathering i saw the Kia from dogtown video and tbought it would have been sick on the phantom. And they put that fucker on it.
I love complicated world, detroit car jackin, phantom and murder gone wrong. Really i got a hard on for the whole cd.
I like both get clowned versions. But the remix is just more my style. Like i liked the beat alot the first go but thought the vocals felt out of place but once i hears on angle trumpits ans devil trombones it was dope. Love that piano. But i would want to seee the original live hands down. Remix is more my style man..
But yeah this is the fucken shit.

I guess i’m biased, I feel like the only people that really grasped ICPS style was MEC AND Mike P.
I can’t dig mec anymore because the beats he makes just sound wack. I don’t know what he did to change up his style from the original 6 to the new deck but the new deck beats just suck. I mean the songs as a whole are alright, but it doesn’t feel like ICP to me. Everything they’ve done since they got back together just feels like random songs. I have a hard time believing that MEC was the one that made shit like riddlebox, milenko or AJB. Everytime he uses a guitar, it sounds in blatant terms, pussy like. Listen to ajb then listen to bang pow boom. I hated that shit. I always wanted icp to go back to another heavy guitar sounding album with sick ass rap beats too. Everything has been pretty soft with mec back.
Kuma, I don’t think I have a problem with his beats but I can’t remember what he’s produced and don’t feel like looking it up. lol. Like i said previously, I just hope these solo albums are there expirimental albums where they try to find a new sound / style. I would love some old school beats with a touch of some new shit mixed in. Bass needs to be heavier. Less wicked on the hooks, more icp.
someone needs to take J’s meds and his weed stash and let him get angry again so we get a dope ass cd. that’s all i want.

I like the beats, tracks, styles on Bang Pow Boom and the mighty death pop a Lot cuz ICP is usually the Music that is for happy Mood or to put me in a happy Mood, but I asked myself the Same question as @darklotusfaygo if Mike e clark is really the Same Person that Made the beats for the first five albums . These beats are just so cypress hillish to me that it is a really big contrast to These other albums. That’s the reason i like the marvelous missing links and the phantom ep cuz they Sound More like oldschool icp to me than Bob or mdp. IMO with some tracks from the outtakes added found could’ve sounded like a New school great milenko.

You know, I’m still spinning Phantom a hell of alot more than Lost & Found. I haven’t touched Lost & Found in months. I was playing Phantom last night. Two most favorite tracks on Phantom for me is “No More Jail”, and “Williamsburg Psych Ward”.

Ya after i purchased mine off hatchetgear and read this thread i was salty that they were just burnt cds. Once i got it tho it was a fresh lil surprise it was a legit pressed cd.
