Comments:
The regular versions of TOL, like Terror Wheel, have been pressed numerous times
and you can tell by the phone number, per usual (and the newest versions have
ads for FF1&2 and Dark Lotus). The XXX Rated version of the Cd and tape were
originally available with the number from the first pressing and the sticker was
on the PLASTIC. For the Gathering 2000, they reissued the CDs and used the new
number, and the sticker is clearly on the CD CASE under the plastic. All of the
XXX versions have the track "Mental Warp" as a bonus track. In 2002, TOL was
also pressed on Shock Records, for distribution in Australia, and in 2003, is
was rereleased with the PSY 4002 number.

What's up everyone? I was just reading thru this, and I wanted to touch on the Milenko thing.. Although the album was released in different formats (CD, cassette, vinyl, digital, etc..) each "color" still only counts as one album.. The Great Milenko Red Cassette is still the Red Milenko Album, its the same as the Red CD. So to count all the individual cassettes along with the CDs as "versions released" would be slightly incorrect. The same with promo tapes and such, these are more or less just demos sent out to the radio stations, record label exec's, and other music industry professionals (academies, reviewers, etc.), many of them aren't even fully finished or mastered, so these can not really be counted. I see where you are coming from, as these are all different physical copies of the album, and you should be aware of all the formats available, but in the interest of knowledge here, there were 4 official Milenko versions, however because there were two labels involved it was re-released again as another 4, so if you really want to be technical, there were 8 versions of The Great Milenko album released. Hollywood and Island both released the following versions: Red, Green, Purple, and Gold. It's still only one album, just different versions of the album. (I saw something above about the Pink version, and this is new to me as well, and I would be very interested to learn more of it if anyone has more info)
Now Mighty Death Pop, or even Bang! Pow! Boom! for that matter can be counted as different albums (as well as different versions) because they featured different tracks - albeit only one or two different tracks, but different nonetheless. So for someone to say there are three BPB or MDP albums, they would be correct.
And it is quite common to find a newer ad in an older CD if the print was still recent.. For example the new batch of Milenko albums coming off the line right now probably will have adverts in them for the Gatherings or the American Psycho DVD. The AJB or Lotus ads are irrelevant now, so unless it was in the original printing of the CD booklet, inserts are gonna be different with each new pressing and release.

Yes all the actual cassettes were purple colored, that does not make the cd Milenko pink. Classic. Technically, all but Milenko gold are reissues, so why are you refering to them? They do not count according to your logic.
Not as separate albums, no. But I'm not counting them as individual albums, what I was saying was there were only 4 versions (colors) released of the same album, 8 if you wanted to double up cuz of the Hollywood/Island fiasco, not 10+ different albums as was afore mentioned. But thank you for clarifying that, there is technically only 1 Great Milenko album released (2 if you once again count both Hollywood and Island). I'm sorry that my earlier post was unclear.
Unless anyone knows of a freak release with some different tracks?? I've been searching but I don't find anything...

i think this thread got sufficiently derailed.
TOOT TOOOT
Ever since this thread surfaced, ive been listening to MDP to try and prove myself wrong (im always open to change), it gets a little better with each listen, but it still doesnt ring of the same message the first set did. and the cover art is still fucking horrible.

I'm listening to it again right now. I've been talking so much shit lately about ICP that the sound in my head of this album was someone sharting their britches. It's not as bad as the shit I talked and I have to say I like it. Miracles everywhere in this beyotch.
