I don’t get how this makes people think Psy is broke.  They laid off an employee who managed the PR by showing up in the GOTJ infomercial once a year and made facebook posts without his name on them.  What’s the big deal?  

PR coordinates interviews, press releases, and a lot of other things. It’s not just posting on fb.

Laying off is most typically associated with temporary or permanent down sizing due to cash flow problems.

First: This Chuck Reeves dude is gross. Never watched/listened to him before and don’t plan on doing it again. Especially considering that J-Webb got let go of, sent a private email asking people to not talk about his current job situation and this little bitch read it for the views. That’s scummy, man. 

Second: I don’t get what Psychopathic is doin. When they cut over half of the label a few years ago I was into it because that meant they were going to eliminate the too many cooks problems they were having. Going back to the old days when Psychopathic meant “ICP and a couple others”. Then they signed more artists and added new events. Now they’re signing another artist and firing people. It’s like they don’t know if they wanna be a big or small label. That’s not good. 

Third: Chuck Reeves sure does like to speculate huh? The Psychopathic-pink slip email mentioned J-Webb’s job and how well he did it (PR). Which apparently means that Psychopathic only care about the money and that the march was only to get ICP’s name out there. Not that J-Webb’s bosses referenced J-Webb’s job when talking about it. Naw, it’s gotta be the former. 

Sucks that J-Webb is gone. Dude seems like a hard fuckin worker. Everytime I’ve seen him he’s busting ass. They’re trippin by lettin him go.

I get the argument that people shouldn’t care about any of this but at the same time, it’s either about the music EXCLUSIVELY or it’s more than that. If you (the collective “you”) wanna talk about how great the Juggalo thing is and that it’s a family and that we’re invested in each other and all that shit, you also have to accept that there’s gonna be some staleness thrown in like a real family. This shit is just some of that staleness.

We can’t encourage one another to care and then mock one another for caring. 

Ignoring all of that and just focusing on things that are actually happening as opposed to things getting talked about, yeah, overall Psychopathic has been active as fuck. You can even take it back a couple years. ICP have been putting out more music, the label has been making more events, they finally did something about their online merch store, they’ve been signing a shitload of underground artists (most are terrible, mind you, but still. It’s something), and they’ve been releasing more music from said artists. Sucks that some people can’t see all that. 

Overall, if you take away all the Dramalo shit, it’s a very good fuckin time to be a Juggalo. 

Completely off topic but at first I thought you were talking about Milko and Chuckieboy and I was confused because Chuckie hasn’t said shit on this post. I was about to dump on you lol. I’m slow to catch up sometimes.

Yeah but the problem with that is that there’s no way to know if that’s just Violent J “it’s still real to me, dammit!” hype, if it was something huge in the works that won’t actually happen or if it’s a legit thing that really will change PSY forever. 

My guess, if it actually amounts to anything, is that Psychopathic Records will be ICP only and they’re opening up HatchetHouse again (or some equivalent of it) for everyone else. Thus all the new people/line up changes. Also on a business level, it’s probably a lot cheaper to have a little subsidiary label wherein you don’t have as much financial responsibility. But that’s just me making shit up. I dunno if it actually would be cheaper.
