Honestly, I've realized I don't really care that much Erron Black joins the list of rumored characters in the Mortal Kombat X roster, alongside Spawn, whom Todd McFarlane recently granted Warner Bros. the right to use.
about icp talking about heaven and hell/religion, because generally their view of God seems like "good = heaven, bad = hell" and none of this "you can do anything you want and then just be like 'lol jk Jesus I repent" and go to heaven.

What is good and bad? I have a question for those of faith that has been bothering me for a while now. Athiests need not apply. Did Chris Kyle go to heaven? What about the kid he killed?

So your complaint is that this song focused on made up characters based off of stereotypes that ICP will then judge to go to heaven or hell. That sound about right or am I misunderstanding you?

That was part of it, yes. These horrible hell-worthy people are examined skin deep and nothing else. Who in the hell are these two dickheads to judge who is evil and isn't? Riiiight, because there fanbase is so righteous and pure. Fuck their moral compass and fuck heaven and hell. It starts getting old when they draw the dividing line on whats wrong or right... starts to feel a bit like church and church is lame. Then they turn around and make a song about killing people for the hell of it. Which I'm cool with if they hadn't just acted like such good hearted angels. Also, don't they talk about killing judges a lot? They are more judgmental.. just without the education.

I've always seen I.c.P. as people who knew they were going to hell; and were telling you stories about what not to do in life. Be it them doing the acts in the story or the other characters in the story.

"I'm going to hell, and I'm knowing it well."

That's what I thought. Just making sure. You realize they have always done that right? From Ringmaster (I don't think they had really figured it all out during C.O.C.) on they've used stereotypes as easy kills in their music. Their whole thing is that they are the clowns that send people to their inevitable fate. This one is no different. These aren't people they're killing for the hell of it. The people in this song are, via the standards that ICP have always used in their music, worthy of suffering. It honestly sounds like you've just grown out of them, man. This is what they've always done.

100% agree with you. Hell's Pit always felt like the proper ending to the ICP story to me. After all of the killing in the name of what they consider to be good, they end up broken, bloodied and suffering like everyone else they've killed throughout the years. It's a rather played out story but not nearly as cheesy as "everything turns out okay and we're in Shangri-La now".

Sounds promising to me.  The track itself is not really a banger IMO, but if that's the sound they're going for on the album, that's definitely a good thing.

Does anyone really hope they talk about the fact that there is another set of joker cards in their actual music? I loved that about the original six. I think I would feel more of a vibe of the 2nd era of joker cards if they actually alluded to it in their lyrics. Just my thoughts.

I hope they make a video for this. I think Buckets of Blood type video would be fresh for this song.

Violent J has said many times that he doesn't really like making video for songs that tell their own stories.

But I'm fairly certain this isn't their own stories

I meant a song that tells its own story, that gives you a mental video of what's happening.
