Topps trading cards that put out garbage pail kids were sued by the makers of cabbage patch kids for trademark infringement…they were actully designed to parody the cabbage patch kids. was settled out of court and topps agreed to change the way the characters looked and change logo design.

growing up, we lived in a shack. there are photographs of my brother and i in the main room with GPK stickers on the wall. I remember one to this day: Close Shave Dave. that was some violent shit.
anyone remember this weird card series about dinosaurs being brought back by aliens and each card was a dinosaur bloodily killing a human? extreme stuff for a kid, but i was fascinated at the time.

Honestly, I’ve realized I don’t really care that much about icp talking about heaven and hell/religion, because generally their view of God seems like “good = heaven, bad = hell” and none of this “you can do anything you want and then just be like ‘lol jk Jesus I repent” and go to heaven.

I like it. I was hoping the cd would be faster after the way Jumpsteady talked about it. Maybe the rest of it is faster and this is a slower track but I doubt it. This would fit Hell’s Pit really nicely. Kinda reminds me of the Killing Fields and Echoside a bit too, but less so than Hells Pit.
I like the vocal alterations and I hope that’s something they play with consistently on the album. I disagree about the hook being “lazy” or the beat not being that dope. I think they work. I wanted something faster and looser, a little more disorganized like Milenko, AJB, and Shangri La, but I can dig this sound.

It ain’t a bad song buuuut as much as I wanted to dig on it I can’t seem to. Anyone else tired of the heaven and hell theme? Boooooooring subject matter but it’ll get a few plays here and there. Don’t hate it but not really feeling it either.
I realize that is the basic theme for almost all the Cards. The greedy are evil and will go to hell etc. etc. I get it. I’d be more interested in off the wall shit like ‘Frankenstein’ or ‘Cotton Candy’. They made two albums signifying heaven and hell. I fucking get it!!

They kind of bailed on the heaven and hell theme after Hell’s Pit. I’m sure there’s a couple songs sprinkled here and there that touch on it but nothing major and it definitely wasn’t the focus of whole albums. The duality of man shit is the basis for their whole Dark Carnival thing. I think it’d be great if they got back to it and if this song is any indication of the way they’re laying out the “Lost” and “Found” themes that’s exactly what they’re going to do.
My concern was that they were going to go way over the top with the preaching shit but one song in and they tackled that idea head-on. The preaching shit was there but, in ICP fashion, that was the blueprint they used to build a song concept on top of. It wasn’t the whole idea.

Yeah but they’ve done it many times before and the song concept was far superior. ‘The Killing Fields’ or ‘Halls of Illusions’ or ‘Echo Side’. Sure they all deal with evil people going to hell but they are all dope in there own right. This song? A couple made up characters that are based off of stereotypes of women hooked up with silicone and privileged kids. It’s not a dynamic song and I’ve heard better by ICP on guest appearances and mixtapes which is why I’m let down. Whatever though, I’ll get over it.
