im sure there are songs that are worse, there are probably songs i like less.

if it was remembered as the throwaway filler i believe it to be, it wouldnt bug me at all.

mdp was bomb, or at least bomb-ish.  amber alert is a really good song, except theres nothing halloween about it [in fact, makin it a hallowicked song added a grody creepiness to it].  jealousy grew on me a little, it isnt as bad as i thought at first;  the shining has some standouts [not enough, true].  

What’s the Shining?  I’m not entirely sure I’m missing something [from people’s comments on this thread, I’m not missing anything].  As for Amber Alert, that might’ve been the point.  Or maybe it was “Watch your kids this Halloween you lazy shits!  Don’t just let your kid go around begging for candy at age 8 after telling them all year, ‘Now, Jonny and Cindy, don’t accept candy from anyone and don’t talk to strangers.’  And you’re having them do both on Halloween.”

 

 

The Shining is the second solo album by Violent J. It’s absolutely terrible, probably the worst ICP related release of all time. Watch the video for Jealousy sometime, you’ll understand. Or better yet, don’t, do yourself a favor.

I’m only interested in Shaggy 2 Dope as far as solo stuff goes, because to be honest, ICP almost is a Violent J solo venture.  At least in the 90s anyways.  Since then, it’s gotten a little more balanced, but still.

jealousy is a terrible track, but there are some good tracks off The Shining, just as a whole,it is a terrible record..2 versions out there.The one from the gathering was the better one imo. Wizard of the Hood is dope as fuck though…great shit.

I’m surprised so many people dislike The Shining, that shit is the bomb. I just checked and the whole album is 5 stars on my computer.

I liked most of the Shining. “Ice Cold”, “Pyromaniac”, “Wake Up”, “When I Rap”, those are the bomb.

As for ICP songs I can’t stand, let’s see… There’s a decent amount that I really dislike, but the one I can’t stand the most is probably “If”. I hate that song.

I dont know if it was the worst, I thought the calm was way worse. Personally i also found FTFO pretty bad, that came out when shaggy was in his drun stage, none of his rhymes are on beat… or rhymes for that matter.

shining was pretty bad but theres a few good songs on that bitch
