As a long-time forum lurker and a massive ICP fan since 95, I’ve been waiting for this topic to come up. I know its been mentioned here and there, but I’ve never seen a thread this big dedicated to the idea of whether or not ICP are involved in the “Illuminati” or any of the secret societies that compose it.

First, lets start with the facts:

– Michican has a very high Masonic membership rate.

– Detroit has over five Masonic lodges alone. According to Wikipedia, Violent J grew up in Berkley, MI, where there is a Masonic Lodge. Shaggy 2 Dope, again according to Wiki, grew up in Wayne, MI, and surprise surprise, there is also a Masonic Lodge there.

– VJ has been on-record in his book Behind the Paint that he had a “rich uncle.” He never went into heavy detail about this person, but given their location and his financial status, one could at least assume that this “uncle” had Masonic ties to the community, as most (not all, but most) wealthy people are involved in Masonry.

– As KuKluxKlown pointed out, there is a Order within Masonry (specifically with the Shriners, who are all high-level Masons) called the Royal Order of Jesters. These guys literally dress up as clowns and host events such as charity and fund-raising. The Shriners are also heavily connected to the Order of Quetzalcoatl (an ancient deity to whom sacrifices were made).

– ICP often talks about believing in “God,” but they never get much more specific than that. They also talk about their dislike of Satan/The Devil, which implies that they at least believe in a “God” and a “Devil.” A requirement of joining Masonry is that you have to “believe in a Higher Power,” but that’s it. They want people who just have a “general belief” in some sort of metaphysical deity, but not in any specific one. This makes it easier to later tell the initiate that The Devil/Lucifer is actually God, which is the “big secret” of Freemasonry, similar to how “Lord Xenu” is the “big secret” of Scientology. All cults have a “truth” that you must climb the ranks (and usually pay thousands upon thousands in dues) in order to receive.

– ICP’s main early influence was Esham, a rapper who openly talked about Satanism, blood-drinking, demons, invoking spirits, abortion rituals, and other occult topics in his music. In Behind The Paint, VJ talks about how they didn’t want to copy Esham directly; rather they wanted to mimic his musical style, without putting blatantly satanic lyrics in their songs. But this alone lets you know that the main influence of ICP was a guy who openly talked about Satanism in his music, and in such a way as to imply that he himself was involved in witchcraft. If he really was involved in Masonry, by the time he met VJ, who knows what kind of esoteric, Masonic, and Luciferian concepts he introduced to clowns to. Esham could have also introduced them to the Masonic influence on the music industry.

– ICP’s “Joker Cards” are clearly showing their use of symbolism. While I don’t think any of the Joker Card faces depict any explicit Masonic imagery (except maybe “As Above So Below” with Jake and Jack Jeckel), we can all agree that each Joker Card is supposed to SYMBOLIZE an idea or concept. In my opinion, the reason that they started doing the Joker Cards after Dog Beats was because they became so enthralled with the Masonic teachings they were getting from Esham that they decided to incorporate them into the way that they produced and released their music.

– ICP shot a music video (Hate Her To Death) in a Masonic Lodge, and when they talked about it during an interview, they were saying things (jokingly) like “Don’t say too much or we’ll be killed.” This implies 100% that ICP are fully aware of the Masonic grip on the music industry, and what the consequences can be for crossing them. Violent J also got married at a Masonic Lodge, as someone mentioned earlier, which just arouses further suspicion.

For those wondering if ICP may have been involved in Masonic Youth Clubs, since both of them grew up in areas that had at least one Masonic Lodge, its definitely a possibility. There’s the Michigan Order of the DeMolay (https://www.michigandemolay.com/), and that is for boys ages 12-21. Violent J would have been 16/17 when he met Joe Ustler (Shaggy) in Oak Park in 1989, meaning that both of them would have been age-appropriate to be part of the youth group. I don’t personally think this is the case, as I believe that any Masonic influence that ICP has came directly from Esham, and then was later enforced upon them by their involvement at Disney.

To put it short, ICP was most likely threatened heavily by Michael Eisner (former head of Disney) that if ICP didn’t “get with the program” and do what they asked (which likely included being inducted into Masonry), not only would we have probably never gotten another album from them, there’s a good possibility they would have ended up getting Clinton’d with a bullet to the back of their heads. So, unfortunately, that is why I feel as though the lyrics of ICP’s music has been toned down. Notice how they no longer talk about rich people being evil in general, and how they need to be killed in their sleep (ex. Piggy Pie OG version). Now, some of this “softening” of the group could also be from them getting older, having kids, etc, and I get that. But I do believe that now, whenever they are going to release anything, it has to be “okay’d” by some unseen person(s) that we don’t know about (aka their Masonic Handlers).

Juggalos like ICP because they feel as though they are the underdogs who “took the long way up the mountain,” as VJ likes to say so often. What I think he leaves out, though, is that you don’t GET to release records on a national level without being involved in Masonry. It simply does not happen. Now, whether ICP went the “full Masonic mile” and did the homosexual rituals, giving someone up for sacrifice, accepting the Luciferian doctrine, and all that kind of stuff, is what we all here like to call “purely speculation,” but I like to think that the clowns have enough good in them to stay at a reasonable distance from the extremely dark side of things, possibly because they were warned about these things by Esham.

I hope this post brings further discussion to this topic, and furthermore I hope that we can actually discuss this like adults without just calling each other “tin foil hat people” and other stupid shit like that. When someone doesn’t believe in a “conspiracy,” my first reaction is not to make fun of them and call them names, but goddamn if Juggalos aren’t terrible about that shit. I used to think Juggalos were open minded until I made the mistake of talking to a few of them about conspiracies. It only took about ten seconds for these “Juggalos” to start making fun of me like I was some kid wearing an Eminem shirt who just told them that ICP sucked ass. Let’s try to approach this with some level of open-mindedness and maturity; I honestly do believe that Juggalos can be some of the most insightful and open minded people out there when they put the petty shit aside.

Richard Pryor was a Freemason.

“Brother Richard Pryor

The first recipient of the prestigious annual Mark Twain Humor Prize in 1998, Richard Franklin Lennox Thomas Pryor III was an influential and popular American comedian.

A veteran of 40 films between 1967 and 1991, he has been featured in four films, Live and Smokin’, Richard Pryor Live in Concert, Richard Pryor Live on Sunset Strip, and Here and Now. His recordings have earned him two platinum albums, five gold albums, and five Grammys.

Freemason : Henry Brown Lodge No. 22, Peoria, IL
Source: The Phylaxis. Boston : The Phylaxis Society, 1981. Third Quarter p. 58.”

Peoria!!!! Home of the 2002 Gathering of the Juggalos!

From “Wut the Dead Like” by Twiztid and ICP:

 – What the dead like

You can ask Richard Pryor

I know that motherfucker’s lifes

About to expire!”

– Violent J

In 3 years, he was dead!!!

That’s what he gets for uh, I dont know. Swearing and smoking freebase and shit….

Just playing. Very interesting thread, honestly. I like to joke ya minds a bit.

its a short clip from an interview that came out in i believe 2010? the rest of the interview was pretty boring standard typical ICP interview. just joe babbling about wrestling. but yes, here it is..violent j being questioned about the illuminati…he quickly changes the subject but sounds a bit like he’s trying to cover something up. “oh shit ninjas are catching on. quick! play dumb!”

i also think Rob/jumpsteady is a big part and influence to ICP’s masonic dabbling. Anyone remember the episode of the juggalo show where Rob mentioned that their father was into the occult?

I’m definitely gonna check out the above interview when I get home from work, and as for Jumpsteady mentioning that stuff about their father, no, I don’t recall that particular episode, but then again its hard to remember all the shit they say, especially if it was just an off-hand comment that he didn’t go super deep into. I’d love to know more about that, though, because that could be a piece of information that would solidify a lot of these theories a bit more.

This is also possible, I mean he didn’t start talking about psychedelic drugs in his music until he left Psychopathic, and then it became a huge theme in his music. For those who don’t know, Esham’s album ‘DMT Sessions’ has each track named after a different drug, many of which are known to use used in MK-Ultra.

That’s another question I have. I pray to God that its not the case, but I have to wonder…do you guys think ICP have been under MK-Ultra? Possibly from a Masonic family member? Like, maybe that’s where they got some of their personal issues from (J’s mental state and Shaggy’s drinking). I mean, VJ did mention in Behind the Paint how his siblings were molested, and child abuse is a big part of MK-Ultra mind control programming.

My way of thinking is that, despite all of their “We did it with no help” and “We took the long way around” way of putting things, I have to imagine that these big Masonic-controlled record executives were not about to let two dudes come up out of nowhere and start making millions of dollars without having them “in the circle,” you know what I mean? To what extent they got involved in it would be “purely speculation” but I just don’t see all these powerful people straight-up ignoring ICP and allowing them to grow bigger and bigger without being unchecked. These are the same executive types who completely hijacked rap music to begin with, so my fear is that J and Shaggy were likely forced into low-level Masonry just so they could survive in the music industry.

Also, I think this has been mentioned already, but the Dark Lotus albums are also pretty damning evidence that these guys are extremely interested in dark occultist themes. And hell, Dark Lotus itself could have been an idea that was formed based on all the occult/Masonic knowledge they had garnered up to that point.

My ex coworker is a low level Mason. He invited me to join about 2 years ago. I declined. I believe they value a certain kind of intelligence and strength, and perhaps he saw or thought he saw that in me. But I declined and actually started to diss him a bit. He is an African-American, I dont know what that has to do with anything, but it was of note. Because I know many are, especially high profile folks like Richard Pryor and Sammy Davis Jr.

I dont truly believe anything too nefarious about these folks.. but I’ll bite because you guys are presenting your cases a bit more strongly than most I’ve seen involved in these theories.

That being said, what do you all think Marz has to do with this all? After all that claiming that he had the “true” black magic book or whatever and then they banished him.

I’m curious to see yalls theories.

heres a link to the episode of the juggalo show where jumpsteady talks to violent j about their dad being into the occult. skip to about the 1:23:32 mark of the video.

theres also another earlier show/episode where rudeboy and jumpsteady talk about the masons/the masonic temple. rudys attitude was ‘fuck the masons they dont scare me’ while jumpsteady was more about defending the masons and warning rudy/becoming real defensive and things got a little heated but soon calmed down.
