@whutuptho , I think there is a point. I hope you continue with this thread since you have ideas that I don’t have and they are interesting. I won’t ask you to “show me prove it” since as you say, that’s not what it is about. “Find yourself” or as the old adage from the Oracle of Delphi, “Know thyself” or maybe it translates to “Know Oneself”, is of the highest endeavor. Taken from the idea that you are part of the universe and you seem to ascribe to the belief of the union of Macro to Microcosm, such self experiments to find yourself will only lead to greater knowledge of the universe through successful and failed experiments. Kinda goes into the whole hermetic doctrine of “As above, so below”.

I may not understand your mind so maybe this request may end up being pointless but I really would like to hear of your experiences with your quest. If you feel it is something not worth bringing back to the forum, at least shoot me a PM about it.

I have never gotten into Crowley’s work but I have read up on some of the works of Israel Regardie (one of Crowley’s secretaries), Violet Firth (pen name Dion Fortune) on her ideas of the kabalistic tree of life, some of Helena Blavatsky’s writings on hermeticism, Max Heindel’s Christian occult works and some of his Rosicrucian texts. I may not follow the path, but I think I can understand some of the terminology.
