Krunk, I am as much a Communist as you are a Fascist. I do not believe the government should control the means of production. I DO believe we should use tax dollars to help the people of this country instead of large corporations. Small businessess should get tax cuts, not large businesses. I don't want our country to become North Korea, China, or the USSR. But I wouldn't mind if it became more like Canada or certain European countries.

I do support universal health coverage. Trump has seemed to say as much himself. I understand that the healthcare system is incredibly complicated and it won't be fixed overnight, but I think the country that spends the most on its healthcare SHOULD be able to find a way to guarantee coverage for its citizens. I am even OK with an Obamacare repeal so long as there is a replacement that offers better care at a lower cost. If that is market-based, that's A-OK with me.

I DO support providing secondary education or vocational training to U.S. citizens, but I don't think it should be some blanket we throw over everyone so they can half ass their way through it. They have to want it. If someone works hard and does well in high school, they should have a chance to work towards the career they want. I see it as an investment in our population. I also understand there is a downside to this, there will be college graduates working low-wage, low-skilled jobs. But there are college graduates working those jobs NOW, just with 25 thousand dollars of debt hung around their neck.

I support free speech on college campuses, even the speech of those radically opposed to my viewpoint. At the same time, I understand when universities shut events down out of fear of violence. I don't think any group should be above ridicule, as long as that ridicule is done in a respectful way and is not a tool for an ulterior motive.

I support the second amendment. You want to hunt? Go hunt! You feel the need to protect yourself? Get that handgun! You just think guns are cool and want to have a shitload? Go for it! But I also believe we can do better in preventing senseless gun violence.

I support renewable energy. I would support renewable energy even if I doubted the science behind climate change. 100% renewable energy means and energy independent U.S.A., and that sounds like a damn good thing to me.

Rhetoric like the kind you are using frustrates me. It is just dividing this country further. You are not the only one to do it, and I am probably guilty of it myself, but it doesn't help the conversation in any way. When I met you and Psyral at the gathering, you two seemed cool as fuck. I thought the feeling was mutual. Now we can't be civil with one another because we disagree on some things? I bet there are many areas in which we agree. I hope the tax code can be rehauled. (so long as it doesn't result in tremendous tax cuts for the ultra wealthy). I hope there is an infrastructure bill that is passed (as long as isn't merely used to line the pockets of a select few).

Why is everyone so focused on the shit that is tearing us apart? What aren't we working together on the shit we can actually get done? You said you were accepted into Mensa. Use that IQ of yours, you know that this dichotomy being presented is bullshit just as much as I do.
