As far as the art goes... (Found) looks halfway decent and very Milenko but (Lost)...
C'mon.... looks pretty damn remedial to me. I don't care if J's kid drew it, it sure looks like it. I would have a hard time holding back a chuckle seeing someone with that as a tattoo especially if I didn't know where it was from.
Did they fire the guy that was designing their shit for all these years or what?

Shaggy? No, he still works there.
You're basing these things off of a ~20ft. poster with spot lights on them. I'm sure when they detail it up and print it on a 4 inch CD sleeve, it's gonna look dope, man.
I was kidding.

I'm thinking Lost is hidden from the world behind an iron mask. Thinking it could be in reference to people who are fake and put on a front to deceive others. Found, if you notice looks as though he has chains on his face. Could be a reference to people who are trapped in a bad job, or a bad relationship and can't live life to the fullest because of this. And the missing link is finding happiness and the perfect balance between those two worlds??? Just some speculation on my part.

My question is who is being referred to as "lost" and "found"? Is it us or him? Is he the one who's lost but we find him, or are we lost and he's looking for us? The only clue we really have about anything is that track during the reveal. My speculation is that "What comes around goes around" means that (lost) is when we get away with something and (found) is when it catches up to us. Can't wait to see how wrong I am when it turns out to be something TOTALLY different!

I like both faces. They look like they will be characters instead of "events" like Bang Pow Boom and Mighty Death Pop. Also, if they're referring it them as "the marvelous Missing Link," I'm glad they left "marvelous" out of the name. Always thought that "The Death Pop" would have been a better name than "The Mighty Death Pop."
I saw some people on Facebook bitching about how they're putting out two albums to get more money out of fans. Personally, I'm stoked that we're getting two albums. This looks like a Wraith Shangri-La and Hell's Pit situation with two totally different albums instead of a "Hey lets release Bang Pow Boom three different times and only change one song on each album so hopefully people will buy all three, then later we'll release a fourth version with all the songs on one album" kind of thing. I don't mind at all having to pay for two albums if I'm actually getting two full albums.

i think with how they forgot to add the backstory to MDP and forgot to put dedicated to the butterfly, i would bet that would be a must for this album because it seemed like they dropped the ball on that and they seemed bummed about it after, i remember reading j saying any icp album is dedicated to the butterfly and they put out jumpsteadys MDP backstory or explanation after it came out toothey didnt forget the "dedicated to the butterfly" on deathpop...its right there on the insert along the bottom clear as day.
backstory on the other hand...
Ah fuck i never picked up a hard copy of death pop

So here's my guess, which I'm also sure is wrong. The first six Joker's Cards had cool images and characters and whatnot, but ultimately the message behind the whole thing was very simple- it's a morality towards other people that basically consists of, "the right thing is not to be evil." People who are evil get fucked in the end, people who aren't evil will get rewarded.
When you listen to MDP, that's a pretty clear message about morality towards yourself- just like not being evil is doing the right thing, so is taking care of yourself and appreciating what's around you. You hear this on some of BPB too with "Miracles," "Juggalo Island," etc. I liked that idea, but the only problem is that it doesn't seem to fit the concept of BPB itself, which sounds like just a continuation of the Dark Carnival.
Anyways if the basic idea here is right, it would make sense that the Missing Link is what bridges the gap between the concept of "don't be evil to others" and "take care of yourself and appreciate things." There's a lot of ways that could be done- Lost could be tales of people who have got one but not the other, and Found their redemption. Or, the Missing Link is an entity who is going to bring these two concepts together, but he's imprisoned by some evil aspect of human nature and must be freed before he can do so. Or even, the resemblence between Found and Milenko is intentional because Found represents the anti-Milenko, who tries to bring people towards the opposite place.

Maybe the artwork will change over time. I have a flyer if the MDP being a bomb with the clown face. It looks alright but hopefully in the months to come they'll start releasing information regarding exactly what it is. I think with it being 2 albums is even better. Looking forward to it. Isn't April 28ths somebodys birthday?
