The U.S. Electoral College might be a way of balancing power since all states (no matter what their population) only get 2 senators each. Seems like part of the system of checks and balances. Cheshyr thinks the Matrix has glitched, but we're not all looking for an alpha male to blame for reality. Here's a red pilled song that withstands the test of time:

@slumerican502 Yes, he definitely has been.

But being now on the national level and a Republican, I feel he will stick with party lines.

Trump: "In terms of marijuana and legalization, I think that should be a state issue, state-by-state. … Marijuana is such a big thing. I think medical should happen — right? Don’t we agree? I think so. And then I really believe we should leave it up to the states." -  Washington Post, October 29, 2015

And according to https://cbsmiami.files.wordpress.com/2016/04/cbs-news-poll-on-marijuana.pdf - 70% of Republicans think laws regarding whether the use of marijuana is legal or not should be left to each individual state government to decide.

Republicans in general want smaller federal control of most things and allow states to decide these things for them self. I think with Sessions at a federal level and following the Republican ideals, he will oppose legalization verbally but side with the president and other Republicans in terms of leaving it to the states.

I think it's too late to go backwards on this issue. Can't put the toothpaste back in the tube.

Even if they did want to crack down on a federal level, more states are going to join the fight every year.

That's what I hate about Republicans, they hate weed, gambling, and hookers unless they are the ones doing it.

A huge example of this in Kentucky is the gambling issue. We have a shit ton of money that we are losing to Indiana because people have to go across the river to gamble. We can bet on horses but cant have casinos.

Republicans may want more state power, but they use it just like they would at a federal level to exert more control.

I don't usually get invovled in political discussions but after events of the past week or so I gotta say something.  Those of you who supported Trump, I ask that you please watch what happens and be open to the possibility that Trump is a con man, and you got conned.  I too will be watching, and I will remain open to the possibility that I was wrong, and that Trump can actually be a competent chief executive of the United States.  I don't expect that will happen, but I'm not 100% sure that I'm right, and I will not automatically reject any evidence to contrary.  If it turns out to be the case that I was wrong, I will learn a lesson from it and revise my worldview accordingly.  I hope those of you who supported Trump but who I otherwise respect will do the same, rather than defending him no matter what he does.

For instance, Trump is the first president in modern history who will not release his tax returns so that everyone knows what his business interests are, and then set up a system so that eveyone can see he's not using the presidency to enrich himself. He's the only one who won't do that.  That's not something fabricated by the liberal media, it's an easily verifiable fact.

If you're a Trump supporter I'm not saying that alone should change your mind.  Just keep it in your memory banks, keep watching what he does, and don't refuse to be critical just because you voted for him.

I don't think many people here actually support him.  They supported keeping Hillary out of the White House.  No one is delusional enough to assume he is our savior.

I appreciate the response. Even if that's the reasoning, there's gotta be some level of shit Trump could stoop to that goes beyond what you expected he would do, and makes you think he's gotta be removed from office asap.

If that does come to pass, a lot of people will act like sheep- excusing it, pretending it's not happening, blaming it on lies from the liberal media, etc.  hopefully the worst never comes to pass.  But if it does, be willing to see it and change your mind, don't act like a sheep.

As much as most of us hate the Tila Tequila incident now, myself included, there's something to be said for questioning and saying fuck no even when Psychopathic was pushing this shit on us... and look at her now, fucking sig heiling and getting bannned from twitter.  I hope people bring that same spirit to thinking about what Trump is doing, is all I'm saying.

Exactly! I am one of the delusional ones. We exist! #DelusionalLivesMatter

And about his taxes ... I could care less. I will only care about the results he produces while in office. I'll make my decisions based on that.

The amazing part is you live in Houston. I think this is the first time in my entire life Houston had this many voters on the republican side.

It doesn't surprise me; between the obese bums with "HUNGRY" signs at major intersections and the shanty towns of day workers living in parking lots, more Houstonians may have voted for sanity during this past election cycle.

I wonder if all of Trump's whining about the election being rigged was a projection to throw off the trail if it was rigged in his favor...

http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/22/.....index.html

The group informed John Podesta, Clinton's campaign chairman, and Marc Elias, the campaign's general counsel, that Clinton received 7% fewer votes in counties that relied on electronic voting machines, which the group said could have been hacked.

Their group told Podesta and Elias that while they had not found any evidence of hacking, the pattern needs to be looked at by an independent review.
Wisconsin's redistricting has been found to be gerrymandering and unconstitutional as well.

We find that the discriminatory effect is not explained by the political geography of Wisconsin nor is it justified by a legitimate state interest. Consequently, Act 43 constitutes an unconstitutional political gerrymander," the judges wrote in their 159-page decision.
This does not directly affect the presidential election, but it is still a serious issue. the GOP does this all over the country.

We on the right are hoping for a complete recount!

That way Trump will win the popular vote too after the illegal votes, multiple votes, and dead votes are removed.
