Why make a concept album that doesn’t follow the concept? They should have saved this idea and title for when they actually had built up songs that are dark and have depth. I am not impressed but my ears are not offended. Not a bad album but It does fall short of the title. Also, monoxide is talking about icp. It’s lame and so is lucky for trying to prevent anyone from talking about it. Why can’t a mother fucker discuss that aspect of the album? Rhetorical question, bitch, we can. So, put a blind fold on and listen to the darkness when other mother fuckers wanna talk about what you refuse to see. There is beef and its stale. Honestly I get pretty sick of those dudes doing 2 faced shit and then say their fans that talk about it “just want drama”. Fuck that bullshit I ain’t buying it … If they want ninjas to stay out of it than leave it out of what we are buying
So fucking true. I really want to ask them this or at least for them to see it so they can Dee how full of shit they are!!
Wow great point

Also, idk how twiztid went from raping with lotus about whatever crazy shit to calling your album The Darkness and ending it with a fucking Ouija board. C’mon what r we 6?
I think the Ouija board thing could have worked. A song about them trying to burn a Ouija board but it keeps coming back to them. A group of people playing with one and getting paranoid that someone in the group is possessed now, each verse from the perspective of someone else in the group. The idea isn’t bad, the beat and their approach is what sucked.

Has everyone forgotten less than a year ago icp and twiztid were recording a lotus album, mec was mixing tracks for “get twiztid”, and twiztid featured an unreleased lotus track on for the fan 2? Now since they haven’t done a song together in 10 months or whatever they don’t have time and hate each other again? What the fuck ever. Shit even blaze and boondox are about to tour. Majik ninja and psychopathic will continue to work together. On a side note who gives a fuck?

ICP and TWIZTID can’t even get along well enough to do features on each other’s albums anymore.Says who?
Maybe they just didn’t want to? Or have time. There were no features on The Darkness. House of Wax, Get Twiztid, and New Nightmare were just EPs, and barely had features. Except New Nightmare which was recorded as soon as they left.
Get Twiztid had 7 (count em’) features on it!
And besides, how can they differentiate themselves if they just leave and keep working with the same people over and over again?
Which is why the first shit they put out on Majik Ninja besides their own music, was a BLAZE YA DEAD HOMIE release?
And then a single from The R.O.C?
They have no problem working with other Hatchet family yo!

On one song….. And they definitely weren’t recorded in a studio together. The audio quality isn’t even the same on all the voices.
Wrong. “Drugs and Alcohol” had 2 features, and “Wasted Pt 2” had 5 features.
Also your were incorrect about there being no features on “The Darkness“-
BLAZE YA DEAD HOMIE is on the track “A Place in the Woods”.

I don’t mind discussing beefs. But now we’re dissecting what constitutes a feature on an album.
Only because you threw out some incorrect facts to support your take, no big whoop.
I miss the Family era. That was more what my original point was about.
It was always such a treat to hear ICP on a track for a TWIZTID album, and vice versa.

I’m not offended by the idea that I could be wrong, I hope I’m wrong, it’d suck if I was right. Hell, Down Here could even be about Esham. I was actually very very very skeptical of the idea of it at all being about ICP before I even heard it when what’s his face brought it up.
I could transcribe and dissect the lyrics to show you why we think it’s about ICP, but you guys will just willfully ignore it. It’d be a whole lot of time and effort thrown down the toilet.
Just remember who’s name calling and getting all upset over the idea of their favorite rappers disputing before you claim that we are just looking for an ICP vs. Twiztid beef.
Also, keep on ignoring my explanation of them keeping it hidden for the moment so they don’t split up the fan base. It’s great to cherry pick when it justifies your point of view.

Which is completely willfully ignoring the fact that you still name call and get upset when it comes up. So there for is just complete bullshit. Because why would anybody feel the need to refer to posts about the idea of Twiztid and ICP beefing as dogshit on a lawn if they don’t care?
And still willfully ignoring the fact that I don’t claim that all of their hateful music is about each other. Just those two specific songs.

So what some are saying is psychopathic could be no different than the likes of death row records?? Where fools can’t get along, leaving psychopathic with a potential downfall, because an unhappy home is a broken home? Dog, Twiztid is the shit, but psychopathic is VERY different than any other label.. Know why? They’re smarter!! Can’t believe people basically sound like they fuckin want psychopathic to burn up, basically, into the night sky..
Well I say fuckdat! Twiztid know they’re underground.. Psychopathic is still underground, fukk a hater talking bout?? Beef or no beef, Twiztid doing their shit, psychopathic on its own shit.. Remember when abk came up with native world? I’d love it if Twiztid was on psychopathic, and blaze n roc helped run mne.. Underground juggalo Luv, regardless, motherfukkaz!!

just finished listening for the first time, came on here to see if everyone was as pleasantly surprised w/the album as i was…& instead it looks like a thread full of bitching, whining, & people seriously still claiming monoxide is dissing icp…what the fuck is wrong w/you people?
if your a fan of twiztid, im not sure how you can be so disappointed w/this album.all my worries about what they were gonna do since going independent have been proven wrong.seems like they got all the nonsense out of their systems w/the 2 mediocre EPs & treated this album w/the same regard as “abominationz” (not nearly on “abominationz” level imo, but def has a similiar sound).why are people bitching that the album isnt “long enough”?…every cd doesnt have to be 70+ minutes long, as long as they didnt fill the disc w/filler & bullshit features i’m more than happy w/ a 40min release.
anyway…the production/mixing/mastering/execution was 100% across the board so im more than happy w/my $10 purchase…only real complaint is that they conned me into buying that bullshit “get twiztid” EP & than put the only good songs from it on here as well…but whatever, shit happens

I loved the album, not complaining at all about the 4 skits on it, I’m actually happy they made them separate tracks rather than add them on to the songs.
Wish they would have replaced the two Get Twiztid songs with Embarrassed and Bad Trip though. My only real complaint.
Well worth the money to me.

Gah, reading so much back and forth about beef with ICP gets so old. We can’t just enjoy the music for what it is??
Anyway, I’ve listened through it three times. The first was (as they asked) in the dark, with headphones on. My first impression is that the album was great, with not very much to complain about. In Hell and A Little Fucked Up were my initial two favorites, both of which sounded excellent in the headphones. Actually, in general, the production was awesome, and played with the binaural aspects of the sound very well. Sometimes it sounded like the sounds were all around your head, with one guy singing on one side, and the other on the other side, with certain sounds behind you and others in front of you…I really loved that aspect of it. Perhaps they specifically focused on that, which is awesome.
Of the actual songs, I had virtually no complaints about the beats, lyrics or delivery. My only constructive criticism would be about the song No Breaks. The filter that was used on the voices sounded very metallic and buzzy, and sounds like when someone speaks too closely into their cell phone microphone. It did sort of distract from what would otherwise be a great song, and I hope that they trend away from distorting the voices so much on future releases. And oh yeah…I really wish that there had been some resolution to why the doctor wasn’t answering his phone. We hear people getting mad because he wasn’t answering…but why wasn’t he answering?? They could have worked the resolution into a skit toward the end of the album.
After a couple of more times through over the system in my truck, I really think this is a fantastic, solid album. After reading this thread, I do agree that there are lots of skits, which will get removed from the iPod when I sync it next. IMO, it’s right up there with Abominationz. Is it better than Abominationz? Not sure. I will have to sit with it and listen quite a few more times.

Listened to this a couple of times through and… never gotten Twiztid, never will I guess. What I love about ICP and some of the other PSY/related artists is, on the surface it’s this over the top, ridiculous shit, dressing up like clowns and rapping about dismembering corpses and whatever else, but that’s really just a vehicle for something way deeper, for them to be able to be and communicate who they really are to people in a fucking awesome and meaningful way. I just don’t get that at all from Twiztid. It’s the same shit on the surface and they’re good at it- maybe better than ICP- but I don’t pick up on anything underneath.
