6.The rest, I guess. I forgot about Cold 187um , Breed... I dunno I'm too stoned to think too much harder now
I feel the one off albums belong in their own category.. maybe put esham in there since he was pretty much established before his psy projects, like most of the DaytonFamily/DJ paul types..

Fuckin slept on indeed, Simply Complx literally changed my life in a big way. I just started to experience crippling depression and suicidal ideation when that album hit me and I can't thank them enough for it. I used to talk to Skrapz on MSN Messenger a lot too and he and F.R. recommended all these zen and meditation focused books to me.. Absolutely indispensable.
Still one of my all time favourite albums. I remember hearing that Obey Yo Thirst track on horrocore.com when it first came out and I was like "this is how all music needs to sound!"
That whole album still sounds fresh today. I honestly don't think there is a pre-psy album that can touch it.
I'm super gay for it though and I know how bold of a statement that is. Closed Casket is a very close second.

It's hard to apologize in general, let alone after a lot of time has passed, so props to him for that.
You can tell he still doesn't really believe in the motivation behind the March, but, has recognized that it was a shitty move to not be there. The March was basically just for Juggalos to have a way to come together and peacefully demonstrate that they are not cool with the FBI gang thing and Twiztid should have been there to stand with their fans even if they didn't interact with ICP at all. It was definitely an event that Twiztid came off looking a little silly for not being there, and, maybe Mono finally understands that it was bigger than he thought it was at the time.

And this is why I stay on juggalo forums
It terrifies me to think that shit like this dies with us. The world needs a throughline to keep Level Jumpers alive 😭

If you don't dig this track, I don't dig you, period.
There is something so, so nostalgic about these beats and rhymes. It makes me want to cry.
I played some Level Jumpers on my never-ending Dispensary Mix when I worked at the weed store, and even some of the most hard-headed coworkers would stop and compliment their tracks.
They put me back in a place and time that I cannot describe, I just have images of downtown sunsets, alcohol and weed and hallucinogens, old friends who have gone separate paths, dead homies and homiettes, the excitement and trepidation and wonder and confusion of life as a younger person, that indescribable vibe. It cannot be put into words and I'm honestly ashamed I even tried lol. Just great music during a strange part of living. Like that Hunter Thompson quote about the '60s, aka "The Wave Speech". Being there and alive in that corner of time, whatever it meant.
Ditto for "Rain From the Sun". Detroit underground really had something special bubbling back then. Like the whole spot was its own organism, communicating to others through music, as ours did in NY and elsewhere.
P.S. - Paul, Jamie.. George lol.. I don't know much about the legal necessities involved in the process, but if you can somehow track down the homies from Level Jumpers and put these two beautiful albums on MNE, I and many others will buy it. Just see how much they're going for on ebay

I still think the march was bullshit and that ICP turned the whole thing into a publicity stunt for themselves. So I don't really hold it against anyone for not being there.
That said, I also get where Paul's coming from now. At a certain point an artist lives and dies by their fanbase. He can decide how much he cares about the fans, what audience he wants to try to attract, etc. But at the end of the day if a huge number of fans want something and not just want it; but will be genuinely hurt if you don't do it? The reason why no longer matters. It doesn't matter that it's just an ICP publicity stunt or whatever the fuck you think it is. What matters is the fans. And really that's all Paul is saying; it mattered to enough juggalos that they be there to show support and that's why they should've done it.at the end of the day.

Hey Noawareness and Old Mr Dangerous, I have a couple very rare F.R.Eeze albums I could upload if you guys would be interested. My friend produced an album for him they went under the alias "Formless Figures" for, and the other is something of a demo for the style they'd go on to use for it. They're both really good if you're into FR's more "Hard Xs Don't Exist", headspace type of shit. I also have Frostbitten - The RAW Album.
Let me know.

...and here is where I lose all cred (as if I had any).
I always thought it was them getting out in front of something that could be a problem for their business while also using it for publicity. Joe may have believed in it to some extent, but for some reason I could never take Rob's rants seriously. Then again some people with Midwestern accents can't sound serious when they complain or voice serious concerns. Especially some Michigan accents. When some Michiganders get angry or are voicing a concern they just sound like they're in trouble or exaggerating. (Edit: Rob is also infamously known for keeping his cool, so perhaps he just can't express anger well)
The march itself was problematic (yeah, I know, p-word, fuck off) though because some people were actually being harassed and they were desperately looking for support from the artists and labels they were repping. Publicity stunt or not a lot of people interpreted "fuck the march"/"meh on the march" as "fuck the fans that get in trouble, even for bs reasons". The march looked a bit ridiculous the way it was advertised and hyped, but it did make the no-shows look a bit disingenuous in their typical "all about the fans" speeches everyone gives before and after every album release and performance.

What is Twiztid's deal anyways? Why did they get so salty they left, had signees do diss tracks, etc? I don't get it. I'm likely missing something, for sure, but what did ICP (probably mostly J?) do to piss them off so much? They were practically treated like a prized pig and given everything they wanted.
Again, probably missing something, but still, I don't get it.

Twiztid thought they were worth more than what Psychopathic was paying them. Psychopathic fucked up the release on Abominations and didn't order enough albums to even see Twiztid chart. Twiztid was also upset that Psychopathic would not sell them the masters for their albums, but they negotiated them for GOTJ appearances. J seems to upset everyone on the label, just about every single person has complained about his micromanaging. They were not treated like a prized pig, shit was deteriorating for years, Twiztid almost left in 2003. Why would an artist stay on an independent label for decades when they've learned how to do it themselves and keep more of their money?

There's an ABK interview where he talks about his reasons for leaving.
