@mykal86 He doesn't have you misquoted, cuz he was talking to me, and that's why he quoted me.
@piggofdoom I've heard lots of Earl, and I was an early advocate of OF, but it's just very childish pointless music to me. The things they talk about are unrelatable to me (especially Tyler's full lengths). I, for example, am too old to sing along to "Kill People Burn Shit Fuck School", because I haven't been in high school since I was 16. Earl specifically, though, is a great rapper (as well as Domo, Mike G, Hodgie, and Left), but I have no interest in actually listening to his music.
Before I move on, I don't mean that I'm "too mature" or something, I just mean that I'm no longer in that position.
Doom is a comic book character on Wax. The fact that Earl has a similar cadence/flow doesn't make me like him, because it's not just Doom's cadence that attracts me. It's part of it, but it wouldn't keep me, the way it doesn't keep me with Earl. I just don't feel like he has any purpose as a rapper other than "to be a good rapper".
My favorite OF songs are Oldie and Rella. In fact, from that mixtape specifically, those are the only two songs I enjoy at all.
The only Hopsin songs I like are the Ill Mind joints, and the only reason I brought him up actually was because I've been avoiding him up until about a month ago when I finally checked his shit out. I'm not exactly hyping him. Roach Gigz isn't really that great either but his drug songs are pretty hot.
Danny Brown is The Crack Christ. And that's all there is to that.
I don't remember ever saying "I like all music except X" so I don't know if that was actually directed at me, but there are plenty of country songs I like. I wouldn't actively choose to listen to them but when I hear them I sing along.
I really don't get where you got that out of what I said, but I like many songs from all the artists I've talked shit about here except Kendrick Lamar (and papoose), and that's only because I avoid listening to him because I don't like listening to music with a lot of hype behind it. I'm sure a few years from now I'll check out his shit. I'm not hurting for new music badly enough to care, and I hate listening to music at its peak of popularity.
Before I go: LOL@the idea of Vinnie Paz battling somebody. Talk about a shitty rapper.

Also, am I the only one who got tired of Hopsin?
When Raw came out I was diggin it, then he got all holier than thou and for some reason it just killed it for me. Couple on the fact that he hasn't released shit for a couple of years and he said he didn't care about rap anymore.
This is exactly how I feel about him as well. Well put.
