I installed Chrome, its been working fine for me since. I was using Firefox last and I'd get errors. Once I was finally able to login I wasn't even able to post. So I think my Firefox is fucked.

Just discovered that there is now a "mobile version" of the site.... that is COMPLETELY UNUSABLE on my Android phone.
The page loads but nothing is selectable, the green "splash" effect 'er whatever is on top of all the images and words as I scroll, it freezes my entire phone up until it finally says that the page is unresponsive and asks if I'd like to close it (despite having been trying to until it asks). Because nothing is selectable, I can't tap on choosing the desktop selection.
IOW, I can no longer get the site to pull up (functionally) on my phone anymore.

I'm in the same boat, but just noticing the new mobile site for the first time today today, I'm sure there are some quirks/bugs still to be worked out.

Mines not that bad, but it really isn't any better than the desktop view. It shows the profile picture, then like 15 lines of blank space, then the posts. I'm on IOS.

Yeah, I just click on the Desktop version with my phone so it goes back to normal version.
Not sure when the change was made but suggestions/issues should be directed to @ganjagoblin. Best to let him know what model of phone and a screenshot of the issue if possible since there are so many variations of mobile browsers and different resolutions for him to contend with.

The mobile site is a work in progress. Just trying to make the user experience better for everyone. Please post anything you find wrong with it. It's still in the early stages, so we appreciate the feedback!

Okay... so since my posting, the actual page seem to be operating better with the green splash graphic now "under" the scroll, however, there is no access to the forum and only displays the news feed.
But the ability to select the desktop version seems to now be enabled so... i'll just get back to what I know rather than worrying about navigating this new thing.

Mobile version is still being worked on. We have not been able to fully test the mobile design. It worked with Scottie D and his phone and other phones. It looks like there maybe an issue with androids for some reason. The theme we customized is based off a default WordPress theme no reason it should not work. As we stated in the title of the new mobile theme it is still in beta and will be optimized better this is just a test we wanted to see how well the theme would react to most users. So it looks like we have to optimize it better for android users. I will take a look at that this week just let us know on here since its all ready posted if your having any issues loading the new mobile site...There is still an option to switch back to desktop just click the link.

Lets just say I am a helping hand on the site lol. If I had a droid I would test it out myself but sadly just a computer. I had 3 to 4 confirms on phones the site worked well news was viewable and content. If people are using wifi on there droid to view websites it maybe slow depending were you are and who's connection you are using. I want to say the mobile stuff was added sometime last week I think maybe Wednesday or Thursday. Hopefully we can improve this part of the site more this week.

the question, insofar as most of us would be concerned, is how functional the forum is, on phones.
i dont [yet] use a phone for anything but, well, phone calls, so im not especially worried about it, myself. yet.

Forums appear to be fairly functional on my android. Haven't spent too much time with it though. You do get a big chunk of blank black space next to your profile pic before each post though. Then your actual post appears. If I knew how to take a screenshot on my droid I would do so.

I will definitely try that. So far every time I try the mobile site it's a disaster so it's worth a shot.

So the site has been running incredibly janky during the whole Gathering which is a bit of a drag.
The news stories aren't showing on the main page when I come on the site, I have to click "see more news" to see them.
A lot of the commands in the forum like "add reply" and "add new topic" aren't working.
I had to quote a ninja, then delete the quote, to be able to add a reply here in this thread.
