It takes forever to log in.

It takes forever for pages to load.

Is it all the animated banner ads?

Is it all the spam accounts doing the equivalent of a DDoS?

Why am I having to constantly stop a page from loading after several minutes in order to attempt to refresh it for it to appear?

Whether I'm on my phone or on my computer, the site is not responding like it should.

I have a fast connection and a fast computer and the rest of the net seems to load just fine while FL is STILL trying to load a single forum page!

It's seriously becoming a chore.

Hmmm. Neither @krunkazphuk or I seem to have that issue. Loads really fast. And I usually open about 6 or 7 pages at the same time from here.

@cheshyr, Out of curiosity, what browser and version are you using on your computer and what phone do you have so I can run emulation under those conditions and test?

im having occasional slowdowns.  usually, it just seems to lock up for about a minute or two, then its fine for a while.

it isnt hampering me all that much, so i didnt say anything about it.

my wag is that the spam filter plug-in thinks i might be a spambot, and is testing me by delaying shit.  but thats just a wag.

[edit]  fpi:  at the moment, chrome 39.0.2171.95, doze7

There was actually something with the software firewall that was causing it to completely time out for a minute or two at a time.  I just purchased a new hardware firewall that was put into place just hours ago.  Please let me know if you're still experiencing latency.  It's not something I want you all to have to "deal with" when visiting.  Sorry for the issues, but it's definitely something we noticed!

@scottied , It is down for me right now. I have to VPN to get to the site.

Interestingly, Both http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com and http://www.isitdownrightnow.com are reporting Faygoluvers as down right now.

How are you getting on to access the site through a VPN if it's down?

I tried that website and it shows as down too.  However, I'm at a hotel for work on wifi and it's working just fine.

Is anyone else experiencing issue right now? Just chime in if you can't connect to this site either.

It may have been the DNS change on the new firewall.  Is it loading up faster? slower?

lol.  I see what you did here.

I just checked that "is it down" website, and it looks like it's showing as UP now.  I'm assuming it's because of the DNS swap to a new external IP address.  It takes time for ISPs to update.

maybe the warlock is breaking the site with all his Topic views.  maybe a new server needs to be created to handle all the traffic he gets reading his topics, and hearing his songs.

I'll fuck you till you love me, Faggot!

@psyral-infection

On my computer I use IE11 v11.0.15

My phone's a Droid.

It's actually running okay right now (magically). When the issue is on my phone, other than the page loading, the other thing that seems to be a hook is the actual text/typing screen. I can tap into the subject window and the math question window but damned if I can get the cursor to appear in the text body window and have the keyboard pop up without stabbing at the screen (while not having the same issue occurring on other net pages).

Again, seems to be going much faster *now but over the last however amount of weeks/months, it's a crapshoot whether or not I'll get to another page beyond the main page without plugging away at it...

I always enjoy checking the front page to see the latest forum posts, that update area has been acting weird the last few days. It's taking hours sometimes to update all the "recent posts in the forum" box, usually it updates instantly.

Edit: seems to be working right now, guess it's spotty, or has been fixed.

@scottied , I've noticed that from my phone, the front page latest forum posts can be several hours behind then when I look on my desktop, it is correct. The info is being cached by some ISPs. It seems to have started when the new firewall was set up.

its happened before.

not being as privy to the gears and cogs inside the machine as yall are, i couldnt tell ya what was goin on at the time.

since were evidently compiling a bug list...  anyone else have a glitch when you click the 'most recent topics with unread posts' icon, toward the top of the page, under the two drop menus?

i click that, and the main menu dropdowns ['home news reviews' etc] are persistent; they stay superimposed over the windoid that opens up.   have to remember to scroll a lil bit to get em out of the way, or i cant click on the second unread topic link.
