I thought lately that my Candy Apple Faygo was tasting a little off. It’s still the shit, but less so. I actually looked at the sugar content on the side and noticed a big 24 oz. now has 15 grams less sugar per bottle. I only know that it used to have 90 grams of sugar per bottle because my girlfriend always said “Jesus Christ, this has 90 grams of fucking sugar in it!!!” Then I started looking at all the other flavors I had, Black Cherry and Moon Mist and Root Beer, and sure enough, they all cut the sugar content too.
My guess is the price of sugar must have gone up, and for Faygo to remain a cheap soda alternative, they had to cut the sugar content. Only now it doesn’t taste quite right. Good, but not great. I would rather pay more for my Faygo and get the shit I love, not sacrifice great taste to save a few cents.
Anyone else notice this? If you’re noticing your Faygo tastes a little different, this is probably why.

Candy apple faygo is the nectar of the gods. When I go to heaven im hoping there will be beautiful women that lactate faygo. Breast feed all day every day…. I hadnt noticed the difference though. Less sugar might not be a bad thing.

only faygo we get in cali is the old school ones with sugar cane and that shit costs 2$ for a 12 oz, so I dont get to drink faygo very often.

I’m sure it’s not a bad thing health wise, but there’s definitely a little difference to the taste now I feel. Maybe it’s just in my head, but I doubt it. I mean, when you cut 15 grams of sugar from something, it’s going to take some of the sweetness away. Not all, but definitely some.
And yes, I’m sure that heavenly creatures lactate Candy Apple Faygo from their nipples. Otherwise, it couldn’t really be even now could it? Something to think about.

ya I think it tastes better than the plastic bottles..the cane surgar makes it taste better than the corn syrup imo..plus anything in a glass bottle tastes better to me than a can or plastic bottle

I love cokes without fructose in them. You gotta get those imported glass bottles from mexico. Thats the way coca cola and mt dew were meant to taste. I think I read somewhere that fructose could speed up the spread of cancers so I try to limit the intake

This is true. I’ve always thought that Coke in a glass bottle tasted better than the stuff in cans or plastic bottles, I’ll have to order some of that sometime, check it out. Thanks homie.

I’ve heard this too about fructose, amongst other disturbing facts. Shit is bad news all around man.
We only have the Pepsi from Mexico around here, never seen the Coke from Mexico.
