The vaccine is not a cure. It does not make you IMMUNE to COVID. It reduces your risk of transmission and reduces the severity of an infection if you get one.

Vaccinated people can still get COVID. They're just less likely to get it than the unvaccinated. Your risk is lower but it's not non-zero.

The point was to get enough of the population vaccinated that it lowers transmission rates and slows down the mutation of COVID to prevent it from becoming vaccine resistant. Eventually, if the transmission rate becomes low enough and the vaccinated population increases the virus would have died out.

 

But you retards fucked that up for the entire world.

 

And yes. Even viruses that have "died out" due to vaccinations can come back. There have been cases of polio. Fucking POLIO popping back up because of anti-vax retards such as yourselves. Same thing with the definition of Herd Immunity. It used to be when a critical level of the population reached Natural Immunity. But now the definition has been changed to be when the population reaches a level of vaccination.  

I've literally never known, or heard of anyone thinking/saying that vaccines as a whole give, by definition, complete immunity. Do some? Sure, probably. But all a vaccine does is stimulate your immune system by introducing weakened/dead versions of the virus into the body so that your immune system can produce antibodies and protect against it. Flu vaccines have been around since forever but you can still get the flu - even that years strain - with the vaccine. It's always been dependant on the persons immune system and how well it takes to the vaccine *and* how effective the vaccine actually is against any given virus.

Nowhere in that linked page does it state that vaccinations prevented infection with 100% efficacy.

Secondly, not all viruses are the same; epidemiology is literally the science of studying of how diseases spread; because diverse outcomes exist. Different viruses mutate at different rates and this can lead to all sorts of changes in spread.
