I agree with krunk. I don’t think the media used dictates the realness. Digital information is still information and all art is the manipulation of information, whether the sound is the frequency a string makes when strummed or the frequency of an electronic signal triggered and amplified by someone strumming a string. Or a recording of either.
Also:
